Baby bunnies

Just a note to say earlier this week I had what ended up as a neat experience. Saturday afternoon while in our lawn with our chickens (my grass badly needed mowing) a baby eastern cottontail got scared from it's spot in the grass. My wife reminded me I'd need to watch out for it the next day when I mowed. Sure enough the next day while mowing it bolted from a spot in the grass to a flower bed. It's mom, which I didn't see beforehand, was also scared away by the mower. Later, either it or another bolted from it's spot to near the edge of our porch. It stayed in that spot the rest of the afternoon, and we began to worry that mom might not come back for feeding. Eventually at dusk, a rabbit worked it's way from 50' away, closer and closer. Next thing we saw, they had met half way and it was getting it's long awaited meal, along with a second baby. We get lots of rabbits, cottontails and marsh rabbits, all sizes.
