Hi Bill,

I found the magazine scans I mentioned in my other post... you might find inspiration in them. It made me want to rip it all out and do something like this... here's one picture to whet your appetite. The rest are at the link below. Of course this garden is huge, but I think parts of it could translate into your space. You practically have this style going on anyway.

I was also remembering a plant I've seen at Seminole Springs Herb Farm. It's an artemesia that she has growing in a border in front of her house. It's silver, and quite tall. It spreads by runners and it's filled in her border with a really striking effect. It's all mingled among her other plants. I can picture that mixing well with your grasses and rudbeckias. And prairie coneflowers... you need them! I have seeds if you're interested.
