Wish I had your mint problems!

Hi,

Been lurking on here for a while and you guys really seem to know what you are talking about so maybe you can help me with this!

Everyone is complaining at how their mint won't stop growing, but I can't get mine to thrive. It was great when I first planted it (8-inch self-watering pot) about a month ago, but in the past few weeks some of the leaves have been turning yellow and the plant has been thinning out. There are quite a few green leaves still, but they are tiny and don't seem to be getting bigger at all.

Also, I picked a few leaves yesterday for tea and a pasta dish..though the pasta tasted fine and minty, the tea was really bitter.

It's on the same windowsill as parsley, basil, sage, thyme and rosemary which are all going gangbusters...what am I doing wrong?
