Solanum burbankii aka Wonderberry-- anyone?

I've read such conflicting things about the flavor and productivity of this plant, which is related to (but apparently better than) the garden huckleberry, though there is some debate whether, indeed, the wonderberry has maintained its own identity and not simply reverted to Solanum melanocerasum...
anyway, i trust the firsthand experience of this group more than any website or book. anyone grown this fruit? is it worth devoting a few square feet to it?
Here is a link that might be useful: wonderberry @ ifas (u of florida)
