Not much project work done today as the heat is still on. Got some very early morning pics.

CONCRETE BLONDE - love this one and so grateful to Curt for sending it. Perfect first blooms

SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS - another one Curt generously sent me.

Did not see the beautiful origami form it is known for but we shall see if any of the other blooms do. Trio bloomed this morning.

WESTBOURNE SEAFOAM CANDY- from MJ Meadows. I purchased several from her this spring. Had only 1 other of her plants bloom so far. Not sure if the others will bloom or not. I am using this one for hybridizing to a DIP I have.

PROMISED DAY - someone on the forum last year asked about this one. It made it just fine through our winter. Not a fast increaser but the blooms are quite beautiful.

MAGIC HAPPENS - no sure if I posted this one before. A really nice near white bloom. Not cream but very close to white.

When I saw this clump of ALABAMA JUBILEE blooming this morning I knew I had to capture at least some of it. What a bright color.

Lots of nice bloom for you on Thursday. I just love that clump shot of ALABAMA JUBILEE. So very pretty. I have always loved it everytime I had seen it. My favorite today is CONCRETE BLONDE, I just love the color.

Moving back up, with more pics: Fairy Tale Pink (from tweetypye last year - THANKS AGAIN!) Looking Fine (FFO, and my pic makes it look more lavender that it really is, so I'll have to try for a "truer" pic later; it's got huge, vigorous fans this year, after being a newbie last year) Evening Harmony (it obviously likes blooming in a container; it was totally UGLY when it bloomed (EVERY bloom) last year, and I almost gave it away. I'm glad I gave it another chance.) Bacon Gold Nugget (A better pic than I got of its FFO; the longer I have this one, the more I like it.) My first seedling ever, which bloomed last year and looked NOTHING like this. It's got scapes like a redwood tree. Here's it's baby picture from last year; it changed a LOT: An object lesson in why I might want to keep borderline acceptable seedlings for more than one year before I decide to toss them! Laurel

I have a few more to share today - the weather is lovely this morning, although I wish we'd get some rain. Hyperion, FFO - a wonderful oldie Unknown, from a White Flower Farm mix I bought years ago. It reminds me of 'Siloam Ury Winiford.' A dark bitone seedling, FFO today, tall and sturdy. I love the dark, wide petals. We'll see how it develops. Yet another yellow seedling. Pretty; I'll watch it. I can only keep so many "pretty yellow seedlings"! I'd rather have a handful of different ones to keep. The extra yellows can go grace my friend's farm. I have a muddy dog seedling, too - gotta get a few of those just by the law of averages, I suppose. Not quite as homely as the legendary "Doody Pants" and "Brown Trousers," but definitely not "AHS Next Top Model" either, lol! Laurel

Continued RAM: Big blooms. Always a standout. THIN MAN: Another good one INDIAN GIVER SONNY JAY: An older Bennett intro. He tinker with yellows for a brief period of time. I plan on crossing this into some of Zahler's intros as this one has the start of a gold edge. HOT SEAT once again. It has the blackest edge of anything that I grow. One day I will get a picture earlier in the day. That is all for me. David (If anyone knows of a rain dance, please send me the steps)

I have to agree with Rita, I love the clump of Alabama Jubilee, but that Concrete Blond is a stunner!

Some great looking photos and gorgeous blooms.All of them are really nice bue,my favorites are SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS,and PEACHES AND GOLD and really love the MAGIC HAPPENS. so pretty.

Thank you all for the comments. I am stunned by the size of the blooms on CONCRETE BLONDE given that it was only planted this spring.
ALABAMA JUBILEE had such a terrific glow with the sun hitting it.

A cool breeze this morning but turning hot again and hopefully we will get some rain. Need it badly.

Love the color of Peaches & Gold. Alabama Jubilee really catches the eye though, doesn't it? Just lovely.

Very nice pictures. Isn't it a treat when a bonus plant thrills you so much? I have several in my garden that I love, and never would have considered if they hadn't been sent as gift plants. I love the bold colors of CONCRETE BLOND and ALABAMA JUBILEE, but I have to choose PEACHES AND GOLD as my favorite (maybe because it reminds me of orange sherbert, which is sounding pretty good right now in the heat!).
