Oh, I just love my telsoma cordata vine, sweet almond verbena, brugs, and gardenias growing in my patio garden - they are my very favorites since I only have to step on the patio to partake, but anything that has a fragrance is a favorite of mine. I just love them all!!

My night blooming jasmine has to be up there on the top of the list. I have several other jasmines that would make the cut too, including the lake veiw. Also the citrus flowers have a wonderful fragrance. The sweet almond verbena you can smell from far away too.

besides the obvious like citrus and gardenia there is:
butterfly ginger smells wonderful,
Mex. Sunflower (tree) the flowers smell like honey, and
certain catleya orchids have a very strong perfume.

PS: I actually stop smelling anything after a few sniffs of the nightblooming jasmine.

Mine has to be the almost overwhelming fragrance I get from my passie 'Incense. I can be in the front yard and still smell it's intense sweet fragrance from the side garden pergola.

And then there is my Aztek Gold Plumie from Lady and my Miami Rose plumie from Cliff.

Brunfelsia nitida, Lady of the Night. And right now, my neem tree. I didn't know that they were fragrant, until the sweet thing bloomed.

Oh, and Wrightia religiosa. I want some sweet almond verbina, I love it so, And Sweet olive. Definately sweet olive

Butterfly Bush. I both hate it (ugh!) and crave it. Such a sharp, dark, mysterious odor.

My oleander smells like bubble gum. I have five different kinds of jasmine including a stephanosis vine. Also my copperpod tree's yellow flowers smell. I suppose my sambo lemon tree will smell when the blossoms come out. Also have a beautiful pink/salmon rose bush (forgot name) that smells like the old fashion roses and a white rose too. And I'm waiting for the delivery of my banana shrub this week. My fiddle leaf plumeria doesn't smell - its awful pretty though. And I have a gardenia too and about six society garlic plants, and lilies too, and two wonga wonga vines that smell like cinnamon. Then too, some of my gingers have a very pleasant smell.

I just love all the different smells.

Rangoon Creeper is blooming in the far corner of my yard.
Very nice fragrance.
I have to walk by several brugmansias to get over there. That's OK though.
My neighbor's lakeview jasmine has been blooming this week.
The whole area is perfumed.
Still waiting for blooms from the butterfly ginger. That's a wonderful fragrance.

I made pesto today! Basil is wonderful.
And I always rub the rosemary too!

I love the smell of my little Pinks, just like sweet cloves. And actually, I always pause and take in the smell of the viburnum when they are in bloom.

Other than that, you know its all in the herb garden... my favorites are (of course) patchouli and rosemary, with others such as southernwood, mexican tarragon, and lemon verbena right there behind them.

Hmmmm, another recent good smell from the garden: fresh cut grass! :)

I love all the scents already mentioned but, my new favorite is Fiddlewood tree blossoms! A nice gardenia like scent only it doesn't knock you out!

I have to also say gardenia and citrus blossoms but last year I planted some 4 O'clocks in the angel trumpet bed. Wow! Now even when the brugs aren't blooming I have the 4 O'clocks.

Plumies are my Favorite scent. They take me somewhere exotic and peaceful.

Definitely my michelia alba. It's got a sweet scent that waffs across the patio at you. For bending off and sticking my nose into to actually smell...plumeria, brugs, lavendar, and rosemary.

LOL Cliff, only YOU could be exotic and peaceful at the same time!

I read that, in England, Rosemary was called the Rememberance plant. Was planted by the front door so visitors would brush against it and the fragrance would remind them of the owners.
Also said to attract friendly elves and deter thieves.

LOL....The combo relaxes me...LOL

Mints of any kind. I can't resist rubbing my hands over rosemary or my rose-scented geranium. I'm hoping to find the night-blooming jasmine that grows as a shrub. Don't know what the scientific name is for that. Orange blossoms are another good scent. I'm looking forward to my first fragrant daylily. Buds are forming on it now!

mmmm so many wonderful fragrances!! think the only one that I have that I LOVE LOVE LOVE that's not been mentioned is the moonflower! They are planted right next to the patio every year... delightful! oh..and, I love to smell the purple petunia! But..out my door this evening you can find the moonflowers, nbj, 4 o'clocks, rosemary, some roses, and two different bruggies..... Oh...then there's the gardenia plant (still in the pot) that jumped into my truck today........

yukichan-gotta love that name! You made me remember another scented favorite, the Variegated Confederate Jasmine vine on trellis' outside our bedroom window. In the spring, their fragrance comes into the house at night and it's heavenly!
