Group shots and clump shots are my personal favorites so I shot afew today. It was very sunny when I was taking the pictures.

CUBAN SKIES up on the daylily plateau.

HEARTS OF FIRE has been putting on the show.

HI HO SILVER. Got this from Maryotts last year. Don't know what to make of it as its really strange looking. Tall and lots of buds so we will see how it does.

Your garden is just so full of blooms. Your clumps look outstanding! You really did a great job of putting everything together. Hearts Of Fire is my favorite of these.

Great group shots. My favorite of these is Hearts Of Fire, also.

I think I agree that the leftmost plant is a Grapto of some kind. I grow a few of them & have a friend who's had lots of them. Looking at that one vs. the Ech on the right, reminds me that sometimes the center of a Grapto rosette looks lower in height (somewhat flatter if you know what I mean) than an Ech. Maybe that Grapto is amethystinum, or has such in its lineage, given its lovely purplishness.

I don't know how to quite explain it but I find I deffinately have my own opinion of what looks good and what doesn't. There are exceptions but the everdone edges so popular in florida these days is not what I like. I also started out picking soft colors. Now I want vibrant color that is really noticeable. I don't mean loud (althought I do like orange) but just vibrant. Even a softer color can be very vibrant.

Rita, I don't remember seeing Barney last year, but just love it! It is uncommon in color and I love the form. I did not get Citrix last year as I ran out of space and $$, but it is ##1 on my list for additions this fall (along with a few Korth intros!). Funny thing, that beautiful blue sky jumped out at me right away too! All of your photos are lovely! Julie

Thanks! Last year when everyone was posting blooms I was working on my garden and buying daylilies (mostly from Maryotts) all summer long. Lots of work but I am seeing the results this bloom season and they are pretty darn good. I have afew clunkers that are not going to work out here but mostly I think I did very well choosing. And that considering I had no idea what I was doing, only picking pretty looking flowers.

Wow, you got some beauties.Love Hi Ho Silver,and Hearts of Fire,and Classic Edge is gorgeous as well as Cuban Skies and Wyatt Earp. I love them clump shots, too.Just beautiful.

What a beautiful post! It is so nice to see the results of your efforts - you must be most pleased.

I got Hi Ho Silver last year too... I just love it. There is something so different about it, and I love to look at it. It changes a lot depending on the temperatures too.

I'd be happy to take those "clunkers" off your hands! :o)

Great shots Rita. I like what you have done to your garden. My fav out of this group has to be Hears of Fire and Classic Edge.

I think it is MARY TODD as I have had it for many, many years. I had it at the old house, moved it here. Then the clump got so big I dug it up, divided it and moved it over into another area where I had made a whole row of now 7 cumps. They grew so well that last year I moved the 7 clumps over to the very end of my veggie garden were I have a row of Serviceberry shrubs and put the row of daylilies in front of the shrubs. They really look good there. Here is another picture-
