Lots and lots of blooming going on!

I have been looking at the post but too tired to post myself!! I am probably a week or so until peak, and things are looking really good. I have been busy taking out iris ( had to have more room for the daylilies ) now, of course I ordered more iris too!!! Here is a section I took out, you can see Whiskey behind the bucket supervising the work.

Some new ones, after a day's trip to Norwalk Ohio to visit Sara at Daylilies by the Pond and then Sally at Willowcreek, I was way too excited to find out Sara had Citrix, you know I was on a mission to get that one

( thanks Kay for posting all those great pics of it) here it is just planted (sorry about the leg in the photo)

I love this daylily!

I also got Plum Cupcake, Spotted Fever, Palace Garden Beauty, Jellyfish Jealousy, and my big impulse buy was Hold Your Horses!! You can see why I just had to have it.

Here it is in the garden, I put it in a space that was actually reserved for a Hanson ( sorry Curt ) But what are you gonna do!!

Cat Scratch Fever, Dan Hansen, sent this one as a bonus!!!He said it bloomed too short for him, but it is so pretty in the front of the bed.

Beautiful Edgings, has had the wow factor this year with just huge blooms.

Oceans Eleven, a nice smaller bloom

Here is a garden shot of many eyed daylilies. ( my favorite)

Primal Scream, finally got it! It is doing well in the HOT bed.

Dust Be Diamonds, one I brought back with me from last summer's Florida trip.

Lovely blooms Cindy. I also have the task of removing some oldie TB Iris to make more room but won't start doing that till the weather breaks here.

I'd be interested in hearing how Citrix does after its first winter. I've wanted it too.
Hold Your Horses is quite stunning. Congrats on the great buys.

Silverkelt, I'm surprised about the Bucks. They do so well for me. I love them, but I guess your weather and soil is quite different than here. Betty, You might not believe me, but I don't feed them.(Well the roses along the front walk do get pond water from when I clean the filter, but none of those are in this pic thread.) I do dig good holes and amend the soil when I plant and mulch well, but other than that they are pretty much on their own. I have added compost to Mme. Ernst Calvat in the past because she seem to have needed it. So once in a blue moon, I'll do that if a rose seems to be losing vigor, but most go for many years without any feeding. I also haven't even sprayed them in years with insecticidal soap or anything. So the foliage is what it is. I really haven't had serious foliage issues in year. Dr. Huey that came with the house (not shown) gets black spot pretty good every year, but he is in such a difficult space to get out, I've left him there. Maybe one day I'll remove him. So pretty much my garden is a tough love garden. I give you a good spot to put down roots, prune you once in awhile, if you seem to be starving, I'll feed you, but other than that, you are on your own, lol. Remy

Such a bounty of beautiful rebloomers! I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw the Bird Talk photo. Now that you have verified its ID, it decides to look like it's supposed to. LOL! It's quite pretty in this photo. My three top favorites are Crazy Ivan, Songwriter and Mary's Baby. I love the Romanian Rendevouz twins in their pale state, and Filled to Overflowing is a real looker too. Offtopic, check the bud scars on your Black Fathom Depths. Thanks everyone for the nice comments!! I do wish you could all come over! I am sitting on my deck right now! Only with a cup of warm tea, ( bit chilly this morning, but no complaints on that!) Thank goodness for wireless internet! I could live out here now. Cat Scratch Fever, it is a favorite of mine!! Huge blooms, but on a short scape, but that is OK, as you need something for the front of the garden beds. It was one of the ones that Dan Hansen sent in late fall for me to plant, and it has been a trooper! It has increased by one fan and this is its second summer in my garden. Bud count has been low for me,( 5-6 ) but this is only it's second year and it did increase from the first year. The large blooms make up for that. Hold Your Horses is a great garden plant, everyone should get that one!! Thanks for the well wishes for Bowie, it was bad, but a little shot and he is all better. He is 11 years old, and has never been sick or injured. Oh, the eggs he lays are golf balls,but you can probably tell that, that made me laugh. I try to use lots of things in the garden just for surprises, and had the golf balls. Thanks again, Cindy

I've wondered about Ashwood Inferno Kate. Appreciate the nod on colorfastness......This is a real hard post to pick a favorite from. I like the first one, Silkey Twilight. Not just that beautiful pastel lavender color, but the crinkled edges with white line. Too bad about the splotchy problem...........Your Red and Yellow combo is striking, and I'll have to look up Total Opulence when I get a moment......That's enough for now, but you really have a nice bloom fest going on............Maryl

Everything is beautiful wonderful daylilies and garden shots. The colors in the pictures are great even have the greens in the correct shades. What camera do you use?

No wonder your too tired to post! All that digging out of the iris. Makes perfect sense to me that you had to order more new ones.

Your gardenviews are just so pretty, I always love your garden. I see lots of lilies blooming with the daylilies and it just all looks so great. Whiskey is tired from all that supervising he has had to do LOL! Congrats on getting Citrix. I love mine. Great blooms.

I like the shot of the bed of eyed daylilies, very pretty. I guess if I have to choose a favorite it will be Speedo.

Absolutely beautiful, all your daylilies and your yard. I think Hold Your Horses is very showy, and I like the color of Citrix. I just acquired Beautiful Edgings from the Lily Auction, and I can only hope it will look as good in our garden as it does in yours. Avedon

Julia, I have high hopes for Citrix here, Rita grows it, and the seller that I bought it from had it for a few years and she is in the same zone.
Mantis, that daylily is Incendiary, a great daylily that has been blooming for a long time!
Betty, I just use a point and shot type camera!! It is a Canon Power Shot SD960.

Stunning pics! I love HOLD YOUR HORSES. Darn it, when I saw the last pic I knew that was Incendiary and I traded that when I got it as a bonus the other year. Now I wish I had kept it.

Cindy, those are really lovely!! I like Hold Your Horses and Speedo especially, but was also curious what the front bloom in your eyed daylily section was, as well.as the purpleblooms with darker purple eye on the back left.

WOW what a beautiful scene, of your garden. Simply gorgeous, with the water for a backdrop.I just love how you have every thing, placed. and WHiskey watching to make sure you get it right :), hes pretty, but where is the other car,temp senior moment, forgot his name. I love looking at all your gardens and kitties.

I have wondered where you were 'cause I knew it had to be time for your blooms. Hooray! You got some beauties! Love Citrix, of course. I can surely see why you had to have Hold Your Horses. It's a real beauty. Whgat a show from Web of Intrigue! Sparticus Adorned is beautiful, the garden shots are to die for! Don't be so stingy posting. Your photos and your garden are beautiful.

Well, thanks again. CTC, Mantis is correct that is Open My Eyes, and it does very well for me in zone 5. I bought it at Cottage Gardens actually!! The darker purple in the back of the eyed section is Gillian.
Marg, Hold Your Horses is a Trimmer, I bought it from a seller here in zone 5, so I know it will grow well.

Vickie, Hold Your Horses is such an impressive daylily, I could see it from across the gardens where I bought it!! It just drew you in.
Tobyjones, you should get Citrix, Maryott had it, but I was able to find it from a local grower, and I do blame Kay for making me go get it!!! hahahahaha. Thanks Kay!

You have so much going on, and Citrix is a beautiful addition. But my favorite shots are the ones of the whole garden, with the water in the background. Very nice!
