Shelby is settling in nicely...I am so glad Debra enabled me on this one as I really like it:

And Neon Dancer bloomed, and I always seem to forget how pretty it is: (with heavenly Angel Ice):

Mabou has had a good year:

I have so enjoyed Indigo Edge. It may have another bloom in it, but it is almost done. Every bloom open and perfect:

Wild One has a very long bloom time:

Cup of Cool Water:

The winner of most blooms this year, Overflowing Heart: It bloomed over and over again:

Colorado Moonstone...second to bloom, still in bloom today (but done after this)

Fear Not is reblooming:

Marys Baby: Like the look of velvet:

Still no idea what this is yet...thought you might like to see a non-fading, non-crisping red. this had been in the Alabama sun all day yesterday when I took this photo.

Your clump of Shelby is looking good! My favorites of these are Overflowing Heart, Fear Not, and Mary's Baby.

Beautiful, Kay.They are all just beautiful. My very favorite bloom in this is INDIGO EDGE. its really a beauty, second favorite is WILD ONE and 3rd one is CUP OF COOL WATER. AND 4th is OVERFLOWING HEART. all are so beautiful...

Debra, it is a bit hard to say how well it could do. I originally had it planted by a shrub that quickly overshadowed it. It did OK, the blooms looked good but below average bud count. I left it there a couple of years & moved it last fall. It looks MUCH better this year & has lots of buds. Seems to be a bigger clump too. It is listed as a mid late, I don't have many actual "late" daylilies, but this is blooming with those. It is listed as a rebloomer, & I know it did rebloom for me last year when it was in the shade. Hoping for good things from it now. Really, I don't think the photos do it justice! I like Neon Rainbow too, Mantis, but it is not one I would really recommend based on how it is here. I got this one 4 or 5 years ago as a single fan. It bloomed the following spring & developed another fan which disappeared in summer with the heat. Same thing following year. This year the 2nd fan appeared again, but it managed to bloom this spring, so hopefully it will hold on this time. It is holding one of the better spots in my garden too, where it gets additional water when it needs it, fertilizer, etc. Rita, Orange Bounty is not fancy or anything, but it is one of my late bloomers, although it is listed as mid season for some reason. It usually doesn't start blooming til early July. This year it had a couple of fans that bloomed in early June with my earliest ones though,bloomed shorter than usual though. I thought that might be all it was going to do, but come July the rest of the fans broke out in bloom. Thanks Linda, this is the 2nd year for Sings the Blues & it is looking much better than it did last year. I was so happy when that seedling first bloomed, & I still like it but would like to see it with more buds.

Jeanne, your table is just lovely! The centerpiece is perfect, simple but so eye-catching. And you know that I love the addition of all the white bunnies (and tea pot). I am a firm believer that bunnies go with any and all holidays. LOL. Probably cause my house is overrun with the non-real kind. And none of those in the yard causing mischief, thanks to my life as a city dweller. Sorry I'm late to all the Memorial celebrations. And I never did get out my decor either. I'm going to give myself one more chance...4th of July...and if it stays packed again this year (be two in a row), then it will have to go. New rule I'm trying to enforce, stuff can NOT stay packed several years without seeing the light of day. I need to let someone else enjoy it if I can't. Anyway, I definitely enjoyed seeing your pretty things and am so glad you decorated for "us" here. ;o) hugs, Karen

Your NOID, Scarlet Pimpernel and Smoky Mt Autumn are my favorite. Nice seedlings. I especially like the one called Seedling 1 - so pretty! I know what you mean about not being satisfied with colors. The phone I was using last year although convenient got most of them wrong and intensified almost invisible veins and all those sort of things, I can not recognize my flowers when I look at pics ))

I know that many in our little group would consider 90 degrees hot, but this mid AM we had a very brief "cool" spell come through with a temperature of 90. I thought I'd see what a few of my "faders" looked like in what I consider a milder temperature then usual. After looking at my daylilies, it added weight to a theory about color/substance retention and high temperatures. It seems to be tiered, with most daylilies looking good under 90. Then there is another tier for those that can take 90-95 heat and still be colorfast/sunfast. Over 95 is when the real iron men show up............ Fortunately there are lots of folks who are able to enjoy daylilies in milder temperatures then we have and I get to see many really pretty daylilies..........I like your Imperial decree. I really don't care for a petal that slicks or darkens, so that's a big plus on it....Prairie Pink Lace has the form I like so much. Very pretty.....................Maryl

Hard to tell, but your red looks like Scarlet Orbit. The Indigo Edge pics have been great. Is it larger than Gilded by Grace?

I lost Mary's Baby over the winter (odd since it's from Norris a northern breeder), and I knew this spring it was one I could not live without. As your picture illustrates, the color says it all (and the white edging when it's there is just icing on the cake).......I really like that Colorado Moonstone. Nice form, nice color. I saw Wild One in the Oakes catalog last year (not this year though) and almost bought it. Seeing your picture makes me regret I didn't........Maryl

So many nice ones! My favorites of this group are Fear Not, Mary's Baby and Overflowing Heart. I don't really care for pink, and received Overflowing Heart a couple of years ago as a mistake, but I am keeping it because it is very pretty and a great EMO.

Is Colorado Moonstone supposed to be Colorado Moon Fire? I got that one as a bonus several years ago and it was one of many I gave to my mom before I moved.

All are beautiful Kay! Love Mary's Baby, Wild One, Fear Not and they were already on my to buy list one day... Humm... but I'm adding Overflowing Heart also to the list it is beautiful and your comment about it blooming a long time sold me.

Mantis, it is about the same size, it is just over 5 inches. It does look very like Scarlet Orbit, but who can tell?

Ouch, you missed a good one with Wild One. It is early open and has a very long bloom season here. Mary's Baby is a special one, sorry you lost yours.

Julia, it is a good one. I am finally back in the garden. do you still need Philistine Champion? I can dig now.

TwixandTween, no, it is Colorado Moonstone. a much warmer , more peachy color than Colorado Moonfire.

Statmam, I get them from Oakes daylilies. I figure as much as the plants cost, I want a label that lasts, and these are engraved so don fade and they are quite sturdy.

It's a good one, Linda. You won't be sorry.

I think I still have Wild One and Wildfire Tango (a similar one) somewhere in the discarded weed bed. After seeing your pic, I might have to give it a new home. Overflowing Heart has already gone on my wish list, thanks to your photos, and now I'm going to have to add Neon Dancer. Thanks, Kay!

Nancy, Wild One is prettier in person than in photos. And I have always been fond of Fear Not.

For goodness sake, Chris, Wild One is a stunner. And it gives a lot of blooms too. Overflowing Heart was really outstanding this year, and Neon Dancer is one I've had for a long time, but it is such a pretty thing when it blooms that it always surprises me again.
