I know Stonehedge very well. In fact, I pass by it each time I go to HomeDepot.

1,2 and 3 look like they're right down the street from here. I could walk there yet I don't know where exactly that is. Naturaully a million other get togethers and events have to all be planned on the same dog gone day but I will try to make it.

are tickets $10 for each location or for all?

The $10.00 gets you into all the gardens.

I'm at least going to check out #1 and 4.

I went to my first garden tour a month ago in Greenville SC, 6 houses, oh...so magnificent. It was $18 and worth every penny. And it takes a lot to impress me.

I've been wanting to go to the environmental and heritage center. I want to see the grass roof.

I went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens tour in 2005. It was great, but since most of the homes where in Buckhead (and obviously had professional gardeners and help) it was a bit off putting.

I've been wanting to take my daughters there too along with me. We are only 5 min from there. We did drive down in there but it was closed. The roof was really neat.

I went. It was fun. The first house was the most interesting. It appears to be an unassuming home in a cul-de-sac, but the property borders a wild area with a stream, so no building could happen back there. The owner, who is a landscape architect, has turned it into many different gardens and a wild life habitat. Very impressive.

But the house! It was a bit much for us, but the paint treatment in each room was very unique. And all done by hand. I particularly loved the office which was painted green and had imprints of real leaves on the walls.

I also liked Stonehedge. I've passed by it perhaps 100 times. The new owners are renovating this 1903 home to a bed and breakfast. The most amazing large magnolias and the tallest trees of it's type in Georgia, too bad I can't remember what kind.

The murals in the kids rooms were unbelievable, weren't they? I found it very inspiring that a normal sized house was able to do a lot with their garden even if that back yard was huge and wooded.

I loved Shannon's house. We spent the most time there. The murals were amazing. My duaghter would love something like that. I took a lot of pictures outside.

I also liked Stonehedge it was very interesting. I can't remember the name of that tree but I think it started with an "L"

Did you count the frogs at the house on Lake Lanier? what did you come up with?

I missed the house on the lake, even though it is practically right around the corner from me. It was just too hot.

We actually spoke for a time with Shannon when she was at her vegetable garden. She's an amazing woman. I checked out her website for Ecco-Terra. If I ever do a big project, I may call her.
