Hi, I am thinking about ordering from Aleyagardens, for those of you who got your reds there what method of shipping did you use? I'm confused by their shipping methods and don't know which one to choose, definetly don't want the most expensive. Can you enlighting me? I want the most reasonable shipping, but don't want the plants in the mail too long. What shape were yours in when they arrived and how long did it take? Thanks Ellen

Yes Karyn, I thats where I got them. I was scared too so I just bought the cuttings since they were cheaper. Next time I will get rooted plants. It took a while for them to come but they looked great. Had the phytocertification and everything. Theresa I put a few rocks on the bottom and then mix scotts topsoil and perlite and some potting soil together and root them on the concrete during the summer or next to a window in the house during the winter and don't water much. I water them once good and then only when they get really dry until they start making new leaves. They will rot if they stay too wet. John uses plain old dirt and it worked for him until he got into this watering thing. Now he overwaters the dirt ones so I changed the potting mix to make up for it. He used to forget to water them and thats why it worked, lol. I can't wait to see the leaves on these. I got a gold and green leaf one and a one with green and cream and pink leaves. The unrooted ones were only about $8 each if I remember right and with shipping and certificate it was about $32 total for both. Not bad for something so unusual.

I am curious - is it possible to graft a standard plumeria onto a dwarf stock or similar? Would it mean that the standard plumeria would still retain it's growth pattern while grafted on a dwarf? Thanks, Urszula

I know the hoya people buy from Thailand all the time, and complain about getting the wrong plants, they take too long, the plants aren't as described, etc. So I'm reluctant to spend the money, it's the shipping that really is so high. $45 is starting to sound like a bargain and maybe the only way I get one.
