A Few From The Last Couple of Days

Wild Cherry Round Up joined the ranks of re-bloomers today:

Annabelle's Blush - the last couple of blooms have had this extra as they it is trying to double:

Moses in the Bullrushes has been perfect on Rebloom:

Guiding Radiance has the most prolific bloom habbit I've seen. It is even better than my Joan Senior and still coming:

Spanish Fiesta is perfect in rebloom:

And Purple Honey Creeper keeps putting out blooms:

And yesterday, I found a new rebloom spike on Helaman> What a season!

Congrats, Kay, on a great bloom season. All your pictures are fine, so many good lookers here. I won't pick a favorite, no reason to--what's not to love? Avedon

Thanks for looking Avedon. I don't know when the blooms are finally going to stutter to a stop. I picked up a couple more re-bloom scapes on Moses in the Bullrushes today. I suspect the rain we needed so badly and finally got "jump-started" these last few.

Jan, OH MY GOSH and JUMPIN' JEHOSEPHATS! Will you adopt me? Seriously, those pictures are just awesome, those you posted here as well as on photobucket. The one of LARRY GRACE and the red verbena is a beautiful picture. It could be framed and hung. So many I like, so many I neeeeeeed, especially LET IT RIP. I really like that CLEAN HEART also. Thanks everyone for the comments. Karen: Send me an email with your info and I'll mail them to you. I cut off 10 of the greyish/black pods this morning after reading your post. Have the pods on a paper towel drying before I open them up and check the seeds and see how many there are. We had downpours of rain last night and early this morning. Julia

I just took a picture (but haven't uploaded it yet) of SEA GOLD. Really glad I got this one and the color of mine looks exactly like your picture. You are right about DAVID KIRCHHOFF... it has many faces. I only had a few blooms this year, and I never knew what it was going to do. I just got FRANCIS OF ASSISI this year, so am glad to know it's a good performer. I think my favorite of the bunch would be SILOAM LITTLE GIRL. After what you said about it's rebloomability, it sounds like a winner to me:) I can't believe I actually have rebloom scapes. Buttered Popcorn, Witch Stitchery, and now Red Volunteer. I hope the warm weather stays around long enough for them to really show off. Red Volunteer just popped up the other day. Vickie

Thanks you all for looking and commenting. those who commented on Shelby, it usually starts with a bloom or two then begins clumps like this...Mantis, I have no doubt yours will be beautiful. Kate, I have to stand on my tiptoes to get the taller ships and still have trouble It is as tall as any I have...and Nancy Jelly is another quite tall one...not all clumps but some of them are very tall. Brad, you are right, they do have their own merit. I have been so pleased with both Rainbow Maker and Exotic Starfish their first year here. Kate, Laur aalways seems to do the same thing...Canoe then behave. And Mantis, we are getting plenty of rain today...not the last two days, but today, yes. kay

This is a record breaking daylily season for you! These are all great blooms and especially so since it is so late in the season. Good for Wild Cherry Round Up that it is reblooming. My favorite could go there or Spanish Fiesta. Both are great!

Three months of blooms, great! Those are all wonderful too.
My favorite is Annabelle's Blush, and Moses!

ngraham, MITB is the prettiest he has been all year, and so is Annabelle's Blush.

Rita, I will probably never have a year like this one again, but I am enjoying it. I cannot believe that two of them are putting up rebloom spikes and it is the 27th of July! You know I will try to duplicate everything I di this year in hopw of next year being the same, but I expect to be disappointed.

The really neat thing is that the blooms are still lovely. Because I had already posted them, I am not posting Mom's Cinnamon Rolls or Spiderman or Last Chance for Romance or any of the others that are continuing to brighten my day. I may post a few once or twice more, but I will wait a while to do it.

Your reblooms are wonderful! My faves are Annabelle's Blush and Moses in the Bullrushes.

Those are all gorgeous, Kay. You are really having a great daylily season, b ut,I still have a few on reblooms, too.I think I would have much more if we would get a little more rain.We got one good rain shower a week ago, then it just sprinkled awhile a few days ago,and didnt even wet the bottom of my rain gauge.

Did MOSES IN THE BULLRUSH not open well during initial blooms?

Jean, we have had real rain issues too. I had been watering, but a week ago we had a fabulous rain. Yesterday we had the thunder but the rain just missed us again.

No, Julia, I had thrip issues with the initial bloom. (should have sprayed and so had the resultant splotching.

These are perfect, and there are two more re-bloom scapes to develop and bloom. Thank you, I really liked the bloom from the time I first saw it on Karol Emmerich's website.
