Look at all the wild lupine seed pods. Yikes, I better get them cut off tomorrow.

I think this is the first time I've seen WILD HORSES and not picked it as a favorite. WEB OF INTRIGUE gets the honor this time, but every single one of these is nice. BLACK EYED STELLA certainly looks like it is working as hard for you as it was for Rita.

Thanks for looking, ngraham and Rita. ngraham, MITB is the prettiest he has been all year, and so is Annabelle's Blush. Rita, I will probably never have a year like this one again, but I am enjoying it. I cannot believe that two of them are putting up rebloom spikes and it is the 27th of July! You know I will try to duplicate everything I di this year in hopw of next year being the same, but I expect to be disappointed. The really neat thing is that the blooms are still lovely. Because I had already posted them, I am not posting Mom's Cinnamon Rolls or Spiderman or Last Chance for Romance or any of the others that are continuing to brighten my day. I may post a few once or twice more, but I will wait a while to do it. kay

Debra, Yes, Painting the Roses Red has been splotchy, in fact two more blooms this morning. They weren't open all the way when I left for work but both look like thery are going to be splotchy and the temps have been really cool but it's suppose to warm up here later in the week so maybe they will improve. Thanks carol! Evelyn is quite gorgeous. Austin's do want to get huge here and lots throw out those crazy long canes but I hope to cut them short after each flush next yr to see if it'll help. I do love them. Sorry you have to keep getting rid of them but the HTs are gorgeous too as well as all the others. It's just a beautiful hobby we share!! I love the dahlia too!! Thanks again!!

Black-eyed Stella was first to bloom, and now it has major pods. In fact, a lot of them have cracked, and there are seeds on the ground. There may be some new Stellas coming up next year. Avedon P.S. I'll be looking for the clump shot of Web Of Intrigue--know it will be a knockout.

Julia, my lupines are full of seed pods also as I never cut them off this year.

Hurray for Black Eyed Stella as it was a bloom machine here too this year. My favorites are RED MAGIC (love the color) and JEALOUS JAKE.

Jealous Jake gets my vote. I like WOI, and Wild Horses.

Noooo! Don't cut off all those pods! I would love to have some of those lupine seeds! I tried some this year by wintersowing and only two germinated. Would like to try some from a different source. So save some for me, okay? Pretty please, with sugar on top?

BTW, your daylilies are very nice. I like Jealous Jake. I have a cat named Jake.

Your photo of Web of Intrigue is so pretty with the waterdrops. Mine has been overgrown by a miniature burning bush that grew way bigger than it was supposed to be. I'll have to rescue it and move it to a better place later in the year. Belle Isle Lipstick is my other favorite of these.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
Karen: Send me an email with your info and I'll mail them to you. I cut off 10 of the greyish/black pods this morning after reading your post. Have the pods on a paper towel drying before I open them up and check the seeds and see how many there are. We had downpours of rain last night and early this morning.
