Debra, these are all pretty, but August Cherry gets my vote. What a pretty red that is.

Sweet Sugar Candy got it's first bloom yesterday for me. It's nice when it is registered as late and it really is late for our area.

Vickie - I agree that it's nice when those lates really bloom late. It took my Sweet Sugar Candy three years before it bloomed late. For the last two years it HAS been a late season bloomer.

Linda - I have always loved the color of Azure Violets. I'm sure yours will be a beauty too.

Lovely Azure Violet! Got that one in a trade a couple of years ago, but turned out not to be AV. Lovely though & just as pretty even though I don't know what it is.
Zuzu is my pick today, looks like one happy cat! My 2 are feeling quite upset with all the fireworks for the holiday.

I got Sweet Sugar Candy this year too, don't know if it is going to bloom late or at all. Things are just starting here.

I always love your daylily photos but when you add the kitty
pics I am over the moon. I have 2 kitties that go out and one kitty that stays inside (because he's too darn important to risk losing to the road or the woods). After Zuzu, my favorite pick is Sweet Sugar Candy. Is it really that pink?
I love the true pinks. Some of them turn out more salmon in my soil, but Shores of Time is blooming true pink for me which I love! I am working on getting all my photos onto Photobucket so I can share very soon. I was up all night til 3 a.m. doing just that but still not finished. It is always a treat to see your daily photos!

I love Sweet Sugar Candy. I have it and it does bloom late for me and has a very good bud count too. I really like the look of Anastasia. Does it perform well? And speaking of performance Zuzu always seems ready to be on camera.

Val - Anastasia doesn't have a lot of buds for me, probably because it doesn't get full sun. But it has always rebloomed even with only 5 hours of sun a day.

Celeste - Sweet Sugar Candy is that true of a pink for me. When I first got it, it looked peachy. But after a couple of years it settled in, and it was more true pink. It seems to be the pinkest when the temperatures are in the 90s. I doubt that you get into the 90s much where you live. It's supposed to have a great bud count too when planted in full sun. Mine is in part shade because the neigbors planted some very big shrubs and trees next to my daylily border, so I have only 12-14 buds.

I think AUGUST CHERRY is my favorite here, but I had a hard time deciding between that one and SWEET SUGAR CANDY and AZURE VIOLETS. Each one is lovely in totally different ways.
