Great photo of CLAUDINE'S CHARM, one of my favorite watermarks. CHANCE ENCOUNTER is another standout with that great color.

I'd always thought BLESSED ART THOU would be too pale for my taste, but the clump shot says otherwise.

Why, why do I torture myself!? MARY LIGHTFINE is one I remember thinking about way back a few years ago because it was late and purple. But, I kinda forgot. I MUST increase my beds! :o) Great photo of FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN. I have some babies out of that one too, waiting to bloom...

BLESSED ART THOU, like most of the Moldovans, has great plant habits along with good blooms. Delicate looking, yes, but with heavy substance. This may be sacrilege, but I'm starting to like Moldovans better than Munsons. They have better foliage that is not as rust susceptible, and the blooms have heavier substance.

Some really great daylilies as usual. CLAUDINE'S CHARM is a charm and stunning looking to boot and I love that yellow double.

Loving Mary Lightfine, Claudine's Charm and Butter Dish. I am not a big fan of doubles, but BD is one I really like. I'll be it really shows well in the garden. ML has such saturated color - just stunning. Thanks for sharing your amazing bounty of beauties.

Rita and Ann - I'm glad you both liked Claudine's Charm and Butter Dish. They have nice blooms, but neither has increased well here. I got them both at the height of the drought, and hope they will do better next year.

Debra- I have seen some of those Kropf doubles on the Early Bird Daylilies site and I honestly don't know why I have not yet bought any. Thats the form of double that I much prefer. It just looks neater to me and the color on BUTTER DISH is fabulous.

Now that the drought is over, maybe you will get more increase.

They all look wonderful. What is the branching and budcount like on Mary Lightfine? It is supposed to be quite awesome. I was a bit scared off because it is an evergreen. I got Mary's Baby instead.

I am always amazed at your collection of beautiful purple/blues, and this post was no exception. CLAUDINE'S CHARM is sensational, and so is FREUDIAN SLIP! In the not purple/blue range, I think KOKPELLI is wonderful..just love the array of colors. I also want to compliment you on your picture of FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN...you captured the edge so wonderfully...it almost looks like someone frosted it!

Edward - I don't have a true idea of what MARY LIGHTFINE can do. It's still in a pot after three years, and I have set pods on it the first and second years it was here. It doesn't have any branching to speak of this year, and only 8-9 buds per scape. If I had gotten it in the ground the first year, not had to produce seed, and not had drought with watering restrictions, I'm sure it would be doing much better. It has gone from two fans to five. It will be planted soon in a bed for ML and late bloomers. So next year I should see better branching/bud count.

Julie - Kokopelli is actually a light purple with a lavender watermark. The photo was taken late in the day when it had faded to more of a pink color.

I love CHANCE ENCOUNTER, and kept getting draw to it in every daylily garden I visited this weekend. It's a good thing that I already got it last year, huh? (And I'd better be careful, or I'll end up with a dozen plants of that variety.)

I've been drooling over AGE OF AQUARIUS and CLAUDINE'S CHARM for a while. MARY LIGHTFINE looks nice, too.

FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN will end up in my garden one of these years. I passed it up last year because I was looking for more mid-late bloomers. I now need more early-mid bloomers! (I'm never satisfied.) Your photo is gorgeous!

FREUDIAN SLIP with its beautiful patterns is eye candy to me, for sure, also going on my list.

I have a question about Butter Dish.
I see you call it a layered double, and Tinkers calls it a dbl dbl. So is it safe to say it's a hose-in-hose dbl?
Anyway, I'm not a fan of doubles except when they're the neatly formed hose-in-hose types, so Butter Dish is my kind of dbl DL!

Yes Julie, Butter Dish is a hose-in-hose double. Layered doubles and hose-in-hose doubles are the same thing. As far as I know, there's no such thing as a dbl dbl. There are typos on Tinkers sometimes. Butter Dish always looks the way it does in this photo.

I am very fond of Chance Encounter - beautiful color.
I find that I really like Butter Dish which is odd since neither yellows nor doubles tend to appeal too mcuh to me, but this one surely did. It is a beauty.
