Hi all! My name is Rena', I live in central Louisiana, on 2 acres. I have always loved conifers, but I had never bought any until 3 months ago. I have been reading this forum for awhile now. I usually buy several books on my new gardening interest and read a ton so that I know what I'm doing, so as to insure the best survival rate of my plants. However, I saw pretty conifers, made some hasty purchases and now have realized that alot of what I have will not make it :( . I have since purchased 4 conifer books (albeit a little late) that are on their way. I want to purchase 3 more conifers and wanted your opinions. But first this is what I have bought so far

Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca'

4 yrs. old Cedrus deodara 'Devinely Blue' -grafted-

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Barry's Blue', 'Blue Surprise', 'Ellwood's Nymph', 'Ellwood's Pillar', 'Ellwood's Pygmy', 'Spring Cream', & 'Treasure' -all cuttings-

Cham. obtusa 'Filicoides Aurea', 'Juniperiodes', & 'Verdon'

-cuttings-

Cham. pisifera 'Curly Tops', 'Dwarf Blue', 'Gold Mops', 'Gold Spangle', 'Golden Sands', 'Lime Pie', 'Plumosa Compressa Aurea', 'Snow', & 'White Pygmy' -cuttings-

Cham. pis. squarrosa 'Intermedia' -cutting-

Cham. thyoides 'Ericoides', 'Heatherbun', & 'Top Point' -cuttings-

Juniperus 'Blue & Gold', 'Blue Rug', & 'Pacifica' -?-

Juniperus x pfitzeriana 'Paris Skies' -?-

Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Gold Rush' -grafted-

2 yrs. old - Picea engelmanni 'Bush's Lace' -grafted-, grower said will do fine here (we shall see)

Picea glauca 'Daisy White' -cutting-

Pinus mugo 'Aurea Golden Pine' -grafted- onto a 3 foot standard

,
Thuja occidentalis 'Linesville', 'Rheingold', 'Teddy', & 'Waynesdyke' -?-

Thuja orientalis 'Morgan', & 'Blue Cone' -"1st gen. seedling"-

The 3 that I want to purchase are 1. Juniperus communis 'Gold Cone' -cutting- 2. 2 yrs. old Picea glauca 'Ducharme' -grafted- grower said "will do fine" I emailed him after doing research and told him that everything that I read said that it won't be happy here. And I then asked, "is he saying due to the specific (meaning hardy)graft that it will survive here?" He responded with only "It should do fine". There were 3 questions he only answered one.

3. Abies koreana 'Starkers' Dwarf a graft as well, the above 3 will be from the same grower.

Opinions and All Advice Welcome! Thanks! Rena'
