kay, we would wear ourselver out if it was a permanent thing. Yup, just trying to keep weeds down. I can't mulch like most folks because of the quanity and the trees. If I had to pull weeds year round, it would kill me I think. Flying Trapeze is a beauty. Wherever did you find it? I would love one of those. I love the odd and don't get much of it. I went on a hunt for Flying Trapeze last year, and I think it was the Sterrett's that had it. That was the only place I could find it, but is increasing for me, and the blooms are just what you see.

You are right Ellie. I dread and almost look forward to the decrease of blooms because it is work. And I increased my numbers. I know I haven't got anything like as many as a lot of you have, but I now have 262 daylilies. And they are spread out too. But I love bloom time.

Flying Trapeze is outstanding, as are your photos of Clown Parade and Cerulean Warbler. This was my best day so far, but I had to leave early for a workshop and could only photograph a handful today. I enjoyed seeing these. I may have to go on a hunt for Flying Trapeze. I love the color and form.

Wow, great stuff today. That Flying Trapeze is a stunner. I really love Rowdy Red also and Clown Parade is looking awesome as usual.

WOW!!! Great blooms today, KAY.And that CLOWN PARADE is still going strong,and seems to still be loaded with buds,Good,gives us more to look at.I Love the PAUL OWEN'S seedling.and that ROWDY RED just jumps out at you,Its gorgeous.I love that one.And CERULEAN BLUEBIRD is real pretty, too...I may not have a flower left in the morning, where I have at least 30 daylilies planted and a few blooming.It came another storm here just before dark, and it washes all the stinky stuff off the plants that I sprayed on them, to keep the deer from eating them.If they come looking tonight, there won't be single one left by morning.I could not have re sprayed them again tonight,with the leaves dripping wet...Maybe I will be lucky and they won't come near them..yea, Right,,

Oh my word.......how beautiful! You know I love Clown Parade. But Flying Trapeze actually took my breath away. I love it! You could have a circus theme going on. lol
Is the last one Cerulean Bluebird or Cerulean Warbler? I've seen it mentioned both ways in the follow ups. Need to know so I can put it on my list too. :) Your pictures are wonderful as always.

It's Cerulean Warbler. Duh! Debra's picture of it made me have to have it! Isn't the bloom beautiful. I do love a lot of Lambert's. He sent Leige and Leif as a bonus when I bought CW and it is a beauty too, but not blooming as much as CW. I am lusting after his Purple Honey Creeper. Haven't bought it yet, but I saw it on the auction and he sends such nice plants, I will probably just get it from him. Thanks for looking.

These are all great Kay. The Flying Trapeze one looks just like it is flying lol. I'm still hooked on Clown Parade.

Do you spray for Japanese beetles? Last year we went to a state run park which has some magnificent gardens and the roses were filled with the beetles.

I saw a Japanese beetle yesterday and am not looking forward to fighting them again. Oh well, let the war begin!

What do I like best, hum. Maybe Flying Trapeze, that is really gorgeous. Love the seedling, makes me think of a fancy party dress. Rowdy Red is just the kind I like, & so is Cerulean Bluebird. That is keeping Clown Parade out of it, that one is just unbelievable. Great pictures!

Flying Trapeze is such a knockout. This is a terrific group of daylilies.

Oh WOW, I looked through them 3 times and still can't pick a favorite, I guess they will all have to be favorites today. OK top 3, Clown Parade,Flying Trapeze and Rowdy Red.

Thanks to everyone who looked at the pics. It was an unusual day for beautiful groups to bloom.

When I first saw Moldovan's
picture and description of Flying Trapeze, I had to have it. It is still the most expensive daylily I have purchased as I could find only one vendor who had it. It is increasing nicely, and it is a good bloomer. I love that day lily!

Clown Parade also affected me like that, in fact. the hybridizer's picture was my desktop for a long time.

Then, I had to have Cerulean Warbler (thanks to Debra's picture.)

Whenever I see one that I just keep looking at, I might as well buy it. Those have never disappointed me.

Renie's Delight also fits into that category. One of you posted some tour pictures in the off season and a clump of Renie's Delight was identified. I kept looking at that picture and I just HAD to have it.

Rita's Emmerich selections also did me in. They are so beautiful and they bloom reliably.

Those of you who liked Rowdy Red should know it has many, many blooms over a long time. Marietta Sent me two large fans of it, and they have really bloomed.
