will crotons do well in part shade?m

I have many crotons, though only two varieties.

I bought some bigger ones and was thinking of putting them under the oak tree(sorry, not sure of the name:they are seen in every nursery:oval shaped leaves, soft kinda look , as opposed to the fire ones which I also have).

They are about 3' tall, really beautiful and want to put them where they'll do best.

They could get some sun in the morning, or some sun in the afternoon if I put them under either side of an oak I have.

thanks! teeka
