It took me 3 years to train mine into a 6-foot tree form and it died this winter. :( Oh well, but back on topic ... sometimes the flowers smelled really sweet and grape-like and sometimes they smelled like cat urine. Go figure. If I remember correctly, they smelled sweeter and more pleasant when they were young and began to smell poorly as they aged. This year I'm going to try again to form a Wisteria standard, but I'm using Wisteria macrostachya 'Blue Moon'. It's supposed to be more hardy, but like Amethyst Falls it's not crazy aggressive. Also, the flower panicles are longer (about 1 foot) and it supposed to repeat bloom at least 2-3 additional times through the season. Wish me luck!

Purchased pot of Peperomia prostrata about 3 mos ago, and about 2 mos ago added stems of variegated zigzag (Euphorbia tithymaloides) and lucky bamboo (Dracaena braunii.) Dracaena marginata & red Ti plant (Cordyline fruticosa) trees with a big air plant wedged between their trunks, sticking straight toward the pic. It has grown a lot of new leaves over the few months I've had it. These trees need repotted so badly. You can see some compromised "indicator" tips in the upper L corner of above pic, a sure sign the roots need attention. This crazy pot has creeping Charlie/Swedish ivy blooming (bottom R corner) and ornamental purslane (Portulaca umbraticola.) Being potted on 8/12 didn't bother these plants at all. Ledebouria bulb is putting up a new bloom stalk.

Your seedling is a beauty, and how nice that it always double scapes. Congrats on that one. The other three daylilies are gorgeous. My Arctic Lace bloomed on 12-inch scapes this year. It just looked ludicrous. You clematis is amazing! I've never been able to grow those very well. And it's too hot here for astilbes, although I do love the look of them. Glad to know you didn't lose any daylilies over the winter. I lost several and a whole bunch of seedlings in pots. I look forward to seeing more of your blooms! Debra
