Post favorite pics of your adeniums
Comments (39)Wow Isaac did you graft them yourself? Amazing! The flowers are just beautiful! And they are all in hyroculture. I've thought of trying one of mine in hydroculture and tried a little aeonium first but it rotted and I love my adeniums too much to risk them. I should really try again. Mike you should so get one! They are the plant with personality and are definitely my favorite of all the plants I own! Its so exciting to watch them grow and change and then there are the flowers!!! They are super easy to grow from seed too, personally I recommend growing from seed so much more satisfying!...See MoreHelp- NEW Pics- Only 4 wood species considered- Need your opinion
Comments (13)Patricia, maybe this is what is bothering me about the tiles. They are so close in color to the file cabinets but are not quite a match with different undertones so I most likely need to go with the lighter tiles or much darker than having them so close in color? They really look nice in my front foyer area due to the light coming in that makes the variations in the tile go nicely in that spot but in the darker foyer, it looks like I did not get the match quite right. :) About the woods, I tried going much lighter but my putty file cabinets seemed in my mind to clash. I tried going much darker but I do not want a dark office. The Amendoim has planks that are lighter than my desk but has a red tint that picks up the desk color. I know the other colors are close but I could not figure out what else I liked and I guess I love rich woods with some red in them. This decorating is overwhelming me and maybe that is why I choose safe beige colors. But you are right about the framing not being able to match it just right. I guess that is what I will have to do with a picture above the couch that I still do not have after 10.5 years. Maybe instead of matching one of the woods, I will just go with chrome or silver since I have crystal lamps with chrome bases and to match the wood on the legs of the glass tables will be very difficult. Comments (15)I don't have a pic but I love my pullout pantry. 2 rollouts are attached to the door, so they come out when it is pulled open. The other 2 are accessible on rollouts, but only need to be pulled out to get near the back. It is 30" wide and so I can fit a ton in it. I stand to whichever side I expect to find what I am searching for and it is one motion to open it. It sure beats having my pantry stuff in the basement! I also did cubbies on the back part of my island, which I tuck my toaster, food processor, spices, etc.. in. It extends the counter space and hides the chaos from the other side. We designed it by accident because I had gotten the idea from Ikea to face shallow wall cabs on the back side of the island rather than putting a cover panel. When I was playing with their online planner is turned one of the cabs around and I saw the potential for facing 2 of them towards the cook. The 3rd one hides the back of our tall vintage stove. My only regret is I realized after that I could have skipped those actual 2 cabs and just had the counter that covers their top and sides form the cubbies. It would have given me an extra inch or so and made my spaces taller. I thought an 18" cab would be enough but the interior space is less than 18".... This is how they looked with the planner. You have to picture my counters going up to them, flush. My KA stand mixer is too tall for in there and I did not go for the spice carousels as planned in this pic. You can see how they extend my usable counter by keeping more stuff off of them. The middle top cab and the lower 3 cabs face away from the kitchen. I have put a lot of can goods back there and the one closest to the kitchen table has dh's extensive condiment collection. I am so glad that got moved out of the kitchen storage area :)...See MoreMy one & only is 25 today! (pic)
Comments (17)Thanks everyone! Funny story regarding his name. He started out as Thomas, named after a favorite uncle of mine. I use to call him that and only that. But when he was about 4 YO he came home rom preschool and told me, not asked, that he be called Tommy. Now he goes by Tom or Tommy or his full name when he is in trouble. LOL Clare...See MoreKristine LeGault 8a pnw
