The alien hieroglyphics were most annoying. I now know that one should change the file to text only, when copying and pasting a Word document. The hieroglyphics substituted all the inverted commas, apostrophes, and dots...... which did not show in the preview. Lisa - I know nothing about why there weren't more Aussie hybrids available for sale. Probably distance to get them there would have been a hindrance. Shane Z was selling some of his hybrids, as was Peter T. I can only assume that due to restrictions on O.S. visitors' purchases, the sellers catered more for Aussies - the majority. Any way,I don't want to stay on this too long,((Yeah Right))It's killing me not having my own computer.But I just wanted to say Thanks For A Great Swap.It was especially sweet for me because my daughter Diana and her new Husband of less then a year and who's last name I still can't pronounce correctly got to come with me and they loved it.Diana can't wait to come to the next one,So I'm thinking we'll be coming to the fall swap as well.It was great seeing everyone and sharing all the plants and eating all the wonderful food.I wish I could have stayed longer,But my elbow was giving me a fit.I had surgery on it a couple weeks earlier and the cast was making me sweat and itch.But all in all it was alot of fun. Jcrowley, I can't imagine who thought 2 am was a wise time to end a high school party either! Jeepers, right when the sleepy drunks are hitting the roads! There's a local talk radio team around here I like, and one of the guys (who was apparently quite the party dude in his time) says every so often, that "nothing good happens after midnight". Around here (CA Central Valley), we are battening down the hatches for a storm that is meant to be coming our way. 50 mph winds, supposedly. Our back yard will be a lake again...the hardpan is so high that any hard rain saturates the thin layer of soil quite quickly, much to the displeasure of our resident felines, who, upon demanding we open the door to let them out will survey the liquid environs and eye us with displeasure, sure that they are that we could arrange the weather to their liking if we were really interested in their welfare. My husband is off tomorrow afternoon to sing with his Barbershop Quartet, which means I'll have all afternoon and evening to deal with the pile of Meyer lemons given me by a client (Lemon Curd, Lemon Marmalade, frozen lemon juice and peel...and, my husband may just come home to a nice loaf of lemon bread, saturated with lemon syrup.) I was really wanting to get out into the yard this weekend, but it seems that is not to be, so I will console myself with cooking! Enjoy, all! :D

I'm going tomorrow morning to pick some more strawberries, I picked all of my own and now I have to go to the local u-pick. $1.10 a pound, it's not so bad, I'll go first thing in the morning if it isn't raining. We have 28 new baby chicks at the farm, so I need to take Makayla and Bud to see them and I got my first "harvest" of radishes, so I'm hoping for some salad greens to go with those. Lambsquarter for sure. Sunday Amanda, David and the kids are supposed to come over for dinner and a swim in the pool. Of course, it's supposed to rain, so we'll see what happens. TGIF, everyone. Annie
