Hi Flowergirl, In the first landscape photo, I have Night Embers. I love doubles and would be happy to share more photos and information about them. Night Embers (not the fullest double but always pretty): Siloam Peony Display (blooms late and is a very full double Dip): Gemini Jack (often not very full until late in the season): Amy Michelle (an early full double Dip): Be Different (on the short side, but really pretty Dip double): Delta's Dream (One of my favorite Dip doubles): Holiday Party (in my favorite top ten doubles): Isabell Maraffi (this one can put on a great show): King Kahuna (on the short side, but very nice Dip double): Siloam Yeger's Anniversary (very ruffled Dip double): Siloam Double Fringe (my tallest Siloam double): Orange Fizz (talk about a fun one!)

Thanks for your comments! It's great to be able to share my photos with people who are interested in them! Ellie - I agree with you that Grace Stamile's daylilies were the bluest I've seen and I also like that Reilly seedling! Here's a link to my photos from Ladybug Daylilies. Dan Hansen's garden was even bigger than the Stamiles'. He also grows corn and huge zucchinis. He tries to avoid using insecticides - thats why a lot of photos have bugs in them. He said they are called lovebugs. (There were thousands of them while we were in Florida and they ended up coating our windshield whenever we drove on the highway.) He has five very friendly cats to help control pests around the garden. He also has a lot of older, cheaper daylilies for sale, many of them are Ra Hansen's (his mother). He also has big collections of daylilies from Curt Hanson, Ned Roberts and the Salters. He is working a lot with edge no eye daylilies. For those of you who looked at the album, I'm glad you found some you liked! Several mentioned liking ADAM PITKIN HURD. So did I a couple of years ago when I saw a photo of it posted at Tinker's. I loved the very triangular eye and triangular markings on the sepals. I got mine last year from Gail Austin, but she no longer has a sales garden. An Emily Olsen into, it was not heavily distributed and seems to be a slow multiplier. Sometimes I see it offered on the Lily Auction. Janet - Lambertson is my favorite living hybridizer, and I have about 20 of his cultivars. If you check back on my album in another week, there should several photos them. Ellie and Wade - Keep in mind what you like and maybe we can arrange some trades for next spring. You both have several that are on my wish list. Laurie - I just got HALLOWEEN TRICK this spring so I can't really give you any info yet on how it grows here. But I've never had a Salter cultivar that didn't grow well. Charlie - Are you calling yourself a hillbilly? LOL Living in Nashville, TN where hillbilly music is king, I thought HILLBILLY HEART would have an appropriate setting. Julia, our electric fencing is what I call ugly, but cheap. I will take a photo tomorrow, hopefully get it on PhotoBucket and post it so you can see how it looks. If we had a lot of money to spend, there might have been prettier options, but we haven't won the lottery yet. LOL. Since we want the daylilies, roses, and a number of other plants, we decided to have the fence versus no plants. I can tell you that I have actually seen a 10 foot chain link fence with an extra couple of feet on an angle leaning inward--does this make sense to you--to make sure the deer don't get over. I can only imagine what this would cost, but evidently it was worth it to the people who wanted a protected garden. Several years ago, I was at Jack Carpenter's LILY FARM and they told us they had put up electric fencing all around the property because of the deer. I seem to recall their fencing looked like what we have, metal T-posts and with stand-out brackets for the wires. I guess like us, they probably have a battery and extension cord set-up to the electrical outlets; of course, it's much bigger than ours. I will try to get this info posted as soon as I can. That's a lot of pretty pictures! BLACK AMBROSIA really looks black. I think my favorite is TAHITIAN WATERFALL.

Ed, Tuscawilla Tigress is a GREAT grower here. I don't know if it performs that well in other places, typically, but it's vigorous and has huge blooms. I wish all of mine did that well.

Casey, Julia: Tahitian Waterfall is really pretty. I'm glad you liked the photo because I think it's prettier in real life...

Mantis, Adorable Tiger did nothing for the first three years here. Not a single flower. Last year it bloomed for the first time, and this year, finally, it had multiple scapes, so perhaps it will bloom eventually for you, too. I like its colors.
