Why can't I?????

Why can't I access photobucket? I can't view your pix and can't get to mine. When I type in the addy, I get a web hosting page or a Internet Explorer can't display this page. Does anyone know where I can contact them?? Thanks for your help...Ellie

Ellie, I dont' know what is going on, but Photobucket is working fine for me...

There are no phone numbers or emails listed on their site. :o(

Have you tried clearing your browsing history in internet options? Did you change any security settings for the internet??

jalal: having the same problem recently!! I always chec the box by my posting so responses go to my e-mail but lately they don't... I have to log on the pond site again & find the responses to my posting. And I have asked about this twice now to the computer help section but no response yet!

Donna - nope, I haven't yet, and our courtesy hold on our Minas will end in a few days. What to do, what to do... Karlarock - Can you tell me if your stone is oiled in the photos? I really need something that will say, "Hello, I'm a black stone, and only at strange angles and bright sunlight can you see my hidden greens." ;o) Mustbnuts (I love your username, BTW!) - we'll have white beaded inset cabs on the perimeter with *some* variety of soapstone, and carrara marble on the island. Whether the island will be stained or some other paint color (green, perhaps?) is still up for debate. Further complicating things is that I have two very different carrara slabs from which to choose - one very calm one which I have seen in person, and one very veiny one I've only seen in photos. I'm leaning toward the veiny one, but I couldn't have a very veiny Minas in the same kitchen. We got photos of some new Minas slabs this morning which have even fewer white veins than the very quiet ones we have on hold, but it still appears to have a lot of the little white "spots," and I'm not sure I want that. In all of the finished Minas kitchen pictures I've seen, the stone appears solid black with white veins, without all the splotchies. Am I wrong about this? Do you Minas owners have those little spots, and they just aren't apparent in the photos?

I'm back! Well I went and painted about 5 different swatches- and just didn't love 4 them... Too dark and too green or mustardy were the main issues for most. There WAS one I really liked though - BM Revere Pewter. But I was so similar to the BM Grant Beige that I have up there (same intensity, but a little greyer/tauper) - that I can't justify repriming and repainting. (not to mention paying the $$ for BM) if it's not going to be much different looking. SO I Have decided to just stay with the Grant Beige and see how I feel once the floors and trim go down next week. I have never been more indecisive in my life than I have been during this renovation- but thank goodness I have you guys to help keep my head up!

Let me just echo what melsouth said above. I was quoted an upcharge by one cabinet maker for painted white, but in our current new house the price was the same for stained or painted white from a different cabinetmaker. Perhaps you can get an estimate from another shop. It also bothers me that your cabinet maker is trying to discourage you from using white since he prefers stained. He should NOT be doing that. In a previous home, I let myself be pressured to do some things by the cabinet maker and always regretted those choices since I really preferred other things, but felt I had to go with his recommendations. As others have said, you're stronger than you even realize after sustaining the loss of your husband. It's natural to struggle with decisions following that...and sometimes I've found just getting a bit older can make decision making (particularly so many at the same time) more likely to be overwhelming. Just take them one at a time, and it will get done. My sincere sympathy over your loss, and I hope you'll still find the joy in each new day you have. Regarding appliances--if YOU like white cabinets and choose that, you can go with either white or stainless. With cherry, IMHO stainless would look best. We went with stainless in this house with white cabinets because I didn't care for the appearance of big white refrigerators. But we chose the stainless look frig that doesn't show fingerprints. I've found that the stainless undermount sink I thought I'd hate, is actually less work than my previous white one. As with so many things, in the long run, it will work out. Just take it one step at a time. Keep us posted. You have so many friends here ready to help you.

Flush your computer's Domain Name System (DNS)
On Windows:

1 Click Start
2 Click Run
3 Type cmd and click OK
4 In command window, type 'ipconfig /flushdns' (without quotes)
5 In command window, type 'exit' (without quotes)
On Mac OS X:

1. Type lookupd -flushcache in your terminal to flush the DNS resolver cache. (ex: bash-2.05a$ lookupd -flushcache)
Once you run the command your DNS cache (in Mac OS X) will flush.
2. Once the above suggestions have been tried, please try logging into and using your Photobucket account again.

If the problems persist, please click the contact us link below and provide a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing. Please be sure to include details for any steps you have already attempted to resolve the problem.

Hi Ellie.

I posted this on my thread regarding not being able to access photobucket, but you probably did not see it because this board is so active now!

Photobucket was hacked yesterday, and it only involved certain servers. Therefore some people can access, some can not. No ETA on when there will be a fix.

I understand your pain. I can not view anyone's pictures on this site if they use photobucket!

fairysoapgirl, I have deleted my internet files and all cookies. I haven't tried the other info you gave me yet but I did print it. I haven't changed any options but I did do a system restore when I found I couldn't get in. It didn't help though. Thanks for trying. I have soooo many pix you have to see. One dl opened yesterday for the first time. A darla Anita kid that is loaded with diamond dust. Beautiful for a first bloom to me. They look pretty ragged the first time they bloom but it shows such potential...

Jodi, are you and I the only ones? I hate this with all the seedlings blooming. Not only mine but our friends on GF and I can't see them. I hope it's fixed soon as I know you do also. Thanks for telling me about it....Ellie

Hi Ellie.

Maybe the only ones on GW, but certainly not the only ones who use photobucket. Google 'photobucket' and 'hack' and you will get a ton of people looking for their photos!

Not sure how long this will take to resolve-I hope soon.

fairysoapgirl, At the bottom of your message where the link is ( contact form ) I get the unmentionable name if I click on it. The same as Shelly's. I am not allowed to say it on the GF because they have the ad people blocked and they will not allow the words even in a thread.

For those of you have been suffering... I took some pictures off the threads here and posted them to my blog. You'll have to open two windows - one to see the post here and one to see the pics at my blog... but, hey - if it helps you not go into withdrawl!!

If anyone has a problem with me posting their pics on the blog, please let me know and I'll remove them immediately.

fairysoapgirl - thanks for the daylily fix, until photobucket gets repaired. It is really driving me crazy, as my daylilies are not yet blooming, and these are all I can see!

Ellie - if you click on the photobucket link now, you get a message from the webserver explaining a bit of what happened. I will post verbiage below, I don't think this is against GW rules?

IMPORTANT! Photobucket.com problem read here:
Last night Photobucket.com DNS at register.com was hacked by malicious people that are trying to compromise our business!
We are in no way affiliated with such bad deeds and cooperate with photobucket in capturing these individuals.
They have pointed the domain photobucket.com to an account hosted on our systems!
We have blocked that and photobucked techs have restored the domain pointing to its original location!
ALL account information and pictures on photobucket.com are OK, please have patience!
Unfortunately the complete DNS replication usually takes 24-48 hours and during this time caches DNS records might still point to us!
The normal operation of Photobucket is restored and as soon as the replication is complete there should be no further such issues!
We would like to emphasize that we are in now way responsible for what happens with photobucket and all users bumping across our systems!
We are a legitimate web hosting company operating since 2003 and in no way tolerate such hacking attempts!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at xxxxxxxxxxx!
