Yep! That is what is so GREAT about HyperTufa! You mix a batch as thick or moist as you need. I have made similar planters out of kids rubber balls. You will need to figure out a way to keep the whole thing stationary for a good long while though as HyperTufa takes a LONG time to cure. You will want to apply vasoline or another slippery product that will not be absorbed by the tufa or mold- or just wrap the mold in saran wrap before applying the tufa. A nice winter project- but happens indoors for me here in MN.

I have one hanging around that looks similar to yours. We had 3 cats and now it looks like we have a bunch! Some people moved out of the house down the street a few mos ago and all of a sudden all these cats showed up. I know they left them but can't prove it since I really didn't know these people and never paid attention to what kind of animals were over there. Two of the female cats were preggo too. So one had kittens already. These cats are all fairly tame so someone had to dump or leave them. I am feeding them for now but will probably have to take them to a shelter. I found homes for some of them and some kittens. I feel bad for them so have been feeding them outside..probably a mistake lol.

The licensing is very strict. If the person who applied this was a family member who is not a licensed applicator, then you have to wonder how they got their hands on this stuff. I know that with these aluminum phosphide pellets you cannot even use them within a certain distance of a house. Maybe 100'. I don't remember. This chemical is used more freely in some countries than it is here, with deaths sometimes being the tragic result. In some countries, they use it in hotels for bedbug control. I cannot even imagine that because that never would be allowed here. It is used a lot in countries that have a heavy diet of rice, in order to keep pests out of the rice. If anything good comes of this tragedy, it would be that perhaps people become more aware of the dangers of using it.
