You can buy bales of pine straw (needles). But regular straw (oat stalks) I have not seen it..perhaps somebody has though. You can check your local dump as a lot of them give away semi composted but very finely ground mulch. Our dump here in Citrus county gives away the mulch in a coarse grade and another that is very very fine. One of my neighbors uses it and it seems ok. I personally prefer the tree company trimmings and in a year it is broken down to a great black soil but I do put some effort into making it break down faster.

They are where I go to buy Espoma products, which are organic, I believe. I'm sure they sell Greensand and dipel dust. I've never heard of Maxicrop. Is it very effective? Expensive? When I phoned them they told me I needed to have a tax id to get an account to buy stuff from them and they said they don't sell retail? How do you buy from them, just walk into the front door at the facility off 441 near Apopka?
