White pines growing in bogs

I've seen magnificent stands of white pines growing in boggy soil in upstate new york (~z5) so I'm tempted to buy some white pines as a screen for my own back yard -- which is a detention basin that stays filled with water after a rain for about six hours and has such a high water table it has natural springs. Home Depot has some White Pines on sale for 1/3 off. I wonder if they'll fail with wet feet because they're not acclimated to it.

Until now, I've filled my back yard with the Thuja hybrid "green giant." They grow at a pretty nice pace (> 2 feet per year) but are of too narrow habit.

Thoughts?
