Late to the party but I'm still bringing some good liquor! Cedrus libani 'Green Knight' (syn: 'Green Prince'). Likely the same plant but it bears watching because my two specimens *seem* slower growing. Cedrus deodara 'Gold Nugget' Australian origins I believe, a tempermental plant. Cedrus libani var. atlantica 'Mt. Saint Catherine' - Choice and rare, what a beauty. Cedrus libani 'Aurea Prostrata' - A super healthy gold and no sunburn. Cedrus deodara 'Raywood's Prostrate Dwarf' - The heathers and heaths around it this time of year are lit on fire. Cedrus libani var. atlantica 'Sapphire Nymph' - Staked for height. -Will

The support of those here on this thread is very much appreciated. In addition to the strict photo restrictions I was faced with, the advertising blitz that was pretty horrific at GW, is somewhat reduced now - or at least it is subtle enough that I can largely ignore the ad that takes up about a quarter of the screen on the right. I'm willing to make somewhat regular posts again but after becoming engaged to a wonderful woman this Winter(aptly named Spring, like the season), I don't have the time to share thousands of photos of my gardens. I still have the lust of these great plants, and I've been a busy bee outside, as always. building a greenhouse, extensive new conifer gardens and trails. I didn't acquire many new plants this Winter, both for a lack of funds, for obvious reasons, but also so I could finish transplanting this Winter and then deciding next year how much space I have. What kinds of photo series do people want to see more of? The galleries were far and away the most popular threads I participated in. I'd like to add some more time-lapse series as well though as I have a wealth of older photos that I can share with the new. Support is like fuel for my fire and it was refreshing to read the comments here this morning. -Will

Barbaraincalif, I found a cedar identical to yours and was thrilled to find this post because I would love to know what is my little cedar to figure out growth and mature size. What happened to yours? Did you stake it and ended as a larger tree? Could you post images please? I would also like to ask the conifer lovers here on gardenweb if they see possible to keep a large conifer 'small' by pruning? I love the tender super short leaves and gentle color and would sure try to keep it below 5' tall even if it wanted to be 20' . . .see anything wrong or difficult about it? I do not mind having to prune it often, I love time in the garden with my little trees. I live in California as well (San Luis Obispo). Thank you all

I recently purchased a Cedar a. aurea (tagged that way) which I am told is actually a Cedrus libani 'Atlantica Aurea'. I love the look of this and am determined to plant it somewhere on our 1/2-acre lot where it can be admired. Trouble is I cannot find much written information on this tree. I'd like to put it in a mixed border, perhaps in a corner but how big will it eventually get?
