Attractive, Hardy Perennial for Full Florida Sun?

Comments (6)'Edith Schurr' is a modern shrub rose (1976) named in honor of one of the pioneers of the old-rose movement in the US. It is reminiscent of some of Austin's English roses, but stays more compact and is far more remontant than many of them, in hot climates. It's a very double rose, 3-4" across for us (I'm sure bigger in a cooler climate), with mixed shades of white, cream, pale yellow, pink, and sometimes some orange, just depending on the weather. Very fragrant, especially in the early morning. Somewhat disease-resistant, but certainly not immune. Comments (1)Plant them in full morning sun and afternoon shade, if possible. Water them a lot, especially as they get established. Don't fertilize too much at first. In the summer they may need to be sprayed for chilli thrips....See Morekayjones
