I have 14 clematis, and a couple of honeysuckles, but that is it. I will be looking for a black eyed Susan vine. Oh yeah, I have a red a nd a pink Mandevilla(sp?)vine.

I need to re-invigorate my vine lists but I have a lot of clematis, too - both the large flowered ones - I have Hagley Hybrid, a big white one - Pope John Paul or something like that - and there are others. I have to dig out my variety lists.

I love sweet autumn clematis which rambles over my front porch roof in that very English country side sortof way - it grow so darn fast it astonishes me.

And then I have clematis Mrs Robert Brydon which needs to be tied - gets big misty pale blue flowers and is a lovely backdrop to the containers on my deck.

I have morning glories on my free standing trellis and I also grow gourds on trellises - have a couple of them filled this year - so much fun later in the year and the foliage is very pretty.

There is a big rambling wisteria that refuses to bloom.

I used to have honeysuckle but have lost it and am determined to get back the sweet fragranced varieties when I replace next year. My old one grew up the support for the antenna next to the window outside my great room - the vines would drape across the window and be flocked with hummingbirds. I must have it back.

I'm not good at clematis here. I think I need a bit more shade for them.

I have niobe, another red, a purple, Ernest Markham which never blooms (I am hoping this year!!!), armandii, two potato vines one regular and one variegated, 5 honeysuckle vines, confederate jasmine and carolina jessamine.
I also like annual vines but don't have too many going yet this year. I planted two pink Japanese mg's and have several dark purple going. I will be planting pink cardinal vines, white cardinal vines and some moonflowers tomorrow.

Is climbing hydrangea considered a vine? I have one on the side of my house just getting started on the chimney. It grew about a foot last year. I have confederate jasmine, Carolina jasmine, several morning glories, passionvine, three clematis, moonvine, and hyacinth beans. I've got cucumbers and edible climbing beans in the potager. Sweet potato vines are in the perennial bed, just waiting for something to force them out of their stagnant growth. I've got the black, green, and a pink/white/green combo. Cardinal climber should be appearing soon where I tossed seeds last fall. Virginia creeper is taking over in the gully, giving the English ivy a run for the money.

No, there's a wisteria that refuses to die, orange trumpet vines all in the azalea bed, and honeysuckle growing wild in the gully beside the house.

I have a evergreen honeysuckle and the white/yellow super fragrant one and the pink and yellow semi scented. A Armandi, Nyobi (my fav), Jackmanii, Hagley Hybrid (which dosnt do well for me), random white one, porcelain vine, thumbergina or blackeyed susan vine, two potato vines purple and white, mixed annual morning glorys, oh a new annual climbing snapdragon!, sweetpeas if those count, hops, purple leaf grape, im sure theres more im forgetting. wow I didnt think i had that many lol.

I have a dropsmore honeysuckle, 5 different clematis, climbing hydrangea and one heart shaped leaf vine (can't recall the right name)

I love vines and have them all over. I'm guess this does not include all the climbing roses I have, so I won't count them.
First, annual vines: I have several types of morning glories, moonflowers, and cardinal climbers. All are beautiful and I like planting them together. They make a dynamic mix. I also have black-eyed susan vines.

As for perennials, I have star jasmine (love the smell!), several types of honeysuckles, thunbergia grandiflora, thunbergia battiscombei, Incense passiflora, and Carolina jessamine.

I've also planted several others over the years. Mexican flame vine, sweetpeas, scarlet runner beans, hyacinth beans, and clematis. Can you tell that I have lots of chainlink fence to put vines on?

I just bought a pyramid trellis that that hubby will be putting together (hopefully) tomorrow. I have a cardinal vine all ready to plant on it.

Next year, I will be adding some perennial vines, I can't wait!

I am vine crazy this year. For perennials, I have six clematis (Jackmanii, Nelly Moser, Gen Sikorski, Dr Ruppel and two sweet autumn), one akebia quinata 'alba', three wisteria (two appearing via runners from neighbor's Wisteria Sinensis, I also planted the Japanese wisteria), two actinidia kolomitka (variegated kiwi), Virginai Creeper...forgetting something, I'm sure....

I am keeping my eye out for a climbing hydrangea, too. I'd like to get one of the variegated cultivars--probably 'Firefly.' I have a big blank east-facing wall shaded by the house next door that I'd love for it to cover. I know they are slow to get established, so I'll have to be patient!

Many hyacinth beans, sweet peas, moonflowers, morning glories, cardinal climber, sweet potato vines, purple pole beans (if they count!), black-eyed susan vine and also African Sunset thunbergia, nasturtiums...again I'm probably forgetting something.

One of my goals for the garden this year was to make better use of vertical space since my square footage is limited. A big part of that has been the incorporation of vines, but also window boxes, planters and plant material to cascade over all of my stone walls.

I'm a bit leary of perennnial vines as when we moved in to this house there was over an acre of English ivy. We're still trying to remove it.

Wow, an acre of english ivy--guess that would be a nightmare! Funny thing for me is that I have one tiny sprig of it living under a flowering dogwood. I intentionally use the word "living" rather than "growing." It just sits there. Presumably it has been there for years because I didn't plant it.

Always plant Heavenly Blue morning glories, this year I've planted under the pantry window and provided twine for them to climb up to the window sill. I'm anxious to see how this works out. Three of the young plants have already started to climb.
