I oohed out loud! I am such a sucker for spires of flowers of any type, and I especially love blue and purplish blue. Gorgeous!

I always know I am going to have a real treat when pictures from BC are shown. You rival England for gardens IMO. These are no exception. Beautiful!

RITA: I dont have a mighty Aprodite, never did have that one.DO have a WINDHAM APHRODITE'S NIGHTY.I looked for it yesterday and didnt find it, but I know I have it in a pot out there.This one HAD a tag in it, just dont know why its not in the pot NOw..Maybe if I move all the pots around it, I might fin the tag, as it could have fell out of the pot and now under a pot, I dont think so, but its possible... LIME FROST is blooming today and it is soo pretty.Rita, I LOve all the daylilies, but just have a special attachment to WONDER OF IT ALL. and almost a same attachment to HOW BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN MUST BE.TO me,I have just never seen anything that beautiful before.I just cant get enough of looking at them.

Jan and Chris- Visual Intrigue does have an eye like that sometimes. It's certainly not an everyday occurence. I rarely get the kind of patterning I see in other people's VI photos, and that's always disappointed me. But I do get the pretty blue violet eye afer warm, humid nights. Ann - I have two clumps of Moonlit Masquerade. One is blooming and the other does not even have scapes yet. The clump that is blooming gets more sun in the early spring and is more sheltered from frost. MM is always one of my first bloomers. Kay - It's taken three years for String Bikini to bloom. I had almost given up on it. But the blooms have been nicer than I imagined they would be. The blue lavender color is there in subdued morning light. Later in the harsh sun, the color looks more pink than lavender. Rita - I got a chuckle from your String Bikini comment. I'm sure that was Stamile's thought when he named it. I'm looking at the positive side of her death. She's not suffering anymore, and I believe God will give her back someday in a healthy body. I'm going to look into having my tubes untied so I can try again. I want another little girl. I miss her so much. She was my only girl, and she was adored by her two brothers. Now, everytime they do something funny, I tell them they're making her laugh in Heaven. Her website is www.caringbridge.org/va/emily. This is one of my favorite pork chop recipes. Easy Italian Spiced Pork 1 package (.6 oz) Italian dressing mix 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil or canola oil 4 boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick Paprika (I forgot this and didn't miss it) 1. In a small bowl, beat dressing mix, vinegar, Italian seasoning and red pepper with wire whisk until mix is dissolved. Beat in oil until well blended. 2. In a shallow glass baking dish, arrange pork chops in a single layer. Spread oil mixture over both sides of pork. Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes to marinate. (I marinated these all day long.) 3. Meanwhile, heat gas or charcoal grill. (I've made these on my Griddler too.) 4. When grill is heated, remove pork from marinade; discard marinade. Place pork on gas grill over medium-high heat or on charcoal grill over medium-high coals. Sprinkle pork with paprika. Cook uncovered 4 minutes. Turn pork; sprinkle with paprika. Cook uncovered 3 to 6 minutes longer or until slightly pink in center and thermometer inserted into center of pork reads 160 degrees. Here is a link that might be useful: Easy Italian Spiced Pork

Ahhhhhhh, Sighhhhhh, I've been waiting for the pictures of your garden, as always they blow me away. Your bachelor buttons, such a vivid beautiful color. (Note to self buy seed for bachelor buttons). Did you grow sweet peas this year, I bought seed but never got them in but there's always next year.

im in BC and saw my first 8 ft foxglove this year! wasnt staked. Defeinlty worth growing. I row of white ones came up along the fence of a friend of mine, just makes her garden right now.

I love your garden, as always.

You say your Bachelor Buttons are taller than you. So....how tall are you? If you are only three feet tall, then they would be normal height. :) JK

Your Foxgloves are just delicious looking. Here in Oklahoma, I cannot grow mine like you do because (1). If I were to grow mine in full sun, they scorch and wither, and (2) if I don't stake them, the wind blows them over and the stems get all deformed and twisted or just completely prostrate on the ground. I could never grow them like that in my garden; maybe in other areas of the state, but not here where I live. Wo is me.

I always enjoy your pictures so very much. Please post more and more often. I loved your sweet Pea pics last year, as well as the others. Your path curving through your garden allows me to feel like I am actually there walking through it all. Lovely setting.

Thank you for sharing your garden with us. Always such a treat. Your Pergola is terrific. I have pergola envy.

Well, that's as beautiful as a cottage garden gets. I love the profusion of blooms and the grass- oh, the grass.

Annie, I'm 5' tall ( and shrinking ;) ). Those Bachelor Buttons are growing through a Peace rose that is at least 50 years old and at least as tall as I am. (I generally don't like to grow anything beneath my roses but those guys looked so very happy) :)

Wonderful, as it is every year, Libby. I think it looks more blue this year than it has in past years. I know you grow most of it from seed every year, was blue a big part of your plan this time? I love foxglove in any garden but they are especially striking in yours and the BB are fantastic! Thanks again for sharing, Libby, always a treat!

So lovely and romantic. Those foxgloves are so healthy and I've never seen bachelor buttons THAT size. Must be some super breed or else all your rain.

Love the color combinations of pink, purple, white and soft yellow.

MeMo: was blue a big part of your plan this time?

No plan. It's just that the reseeded Peachleaf bellflower decided to be blue this year instead of white. They are almost the same colour as other blue plants in the garden.
