Any recommendations on Thuja occidentalis forests in Wi or Mi?

I will be visiting some friends in the midwest this month and I will have plenty of time to kill. I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for decent-sized, naturally occurring stands/forests of Thuja occidentalis worth visiting in the Northern Parts of the midwest. Any other recommendations for conifer forests (Larix/Pinus, etc.) worth visiting in Wisconsin or Michigan are welcome.

What are some of the oldest ages that Thuja occidentalis attains in the midwest? Are there still relatively healthy, old-growth stands of it that exist and are a day's drive or less from Milwaukee?

Thanks again.
