Michelle-I will bring one just for you , babe. The frits seem to check it out but the sulphers are more attentive. Plus it is just plain pretty!!

The yellow buttercup is a nice plant. Once you've got one you'll always have them. They do sprout up here and there every year, (especially in my potted plants). They're easy to keep under control though, and I always let some grow.

I have one white buttercup in a pot now. Anybody want to grow it? Much lower, spreading plant. Blooms open cheerfully in the mornings, then close in the hot sun. Beautiful all summer and fall. Just cut it back in the winter. Don't pull it out cuz you think it's dead. It comes back every year with water and heat. Once the rainy season comes they're easy to start from cuttings too.

Veronika, if you have a piece of that "tomato stake plant" I'd love to grow it. Not sure I'll be needing stakes 15 years from now, but you never know. I'm sure it'll be pretty in a pot in the meantime.

Now, if THAT idea doesnt work, how about a reminder that I have a note to remind me to dig the mother raspberry plant up for you. Raspberries are sooo much better than yucky avacados.

Unlike you and Barfy the Bird, Tony, I love avocados AND tomatoes! I dug up your Plumie yesterday and put it in a plastic bag with the roots wrapped in wet newspaper. I hope it makes the trip ok. Did the same thing with Michelle's buttercup. They should be fine that way doncha think? I don't have pots lg enough or enough soil to replant em for the road trip.

I dug up the avocado, it lost some of its roots (it was hard to get out, it was in between everything else), anyways, it is potted up, and hopefully it will make it. Anyways, after this summer I will pot a lot of seeds, and should have little baby trees for the next swap (OK, Cindy).

Cindee no brownies equals no bananas to make banana bread! My neighbor usually has a avacado seedling or two hanging around. I will see what I can do for you.

greenacres I am sorry to say it didn't take. It was full of buds so my cutting choices were limited. Did you see anything else you might like on my list?

I will be bringing many of my things bare root. I hope that isn't a problem. I have always done that cause bananas and gingers are pretty big and can be left a few days bare root till you get them planted. They will be freshly dug on Saturday and ready for your garden.

Tony I am so going to pick your brain about growning raspberries! I got a plant from Veronika last year and then an australian native one from Crowleys.

Michelle, I have an extra yellow lantana if you want it. Would you like some purple firespike? It gets to 5 ft, tho.

Michelle-your buttercup is in shock! I am going to trim all it's leaves in the morning. The roots are great, but this heat is making them wilt. Last time I replanted them they lost leaves but all took off once in soil, so I am hoping it will survive.

WRF - n e thing you bring will be fine by me. I am glad to meet up with you and all the others. Whatever you decide is going back to Orlando, the only requirement is that it be on the small side.

Robin, I feel all the pressure now, knowing Raspberries are on the agenda ! You may be going home with one too. Geez, it must be a couple yrs now we had talked about raspberries and Seeing as I am bringing the 'mother' raspberry for Cindee, I have one shoot that is for you. I will be out of the raspberry business and handing it over to you guys.

I Plan on bringing many mulberry cuttings that should root. About 2 weeks ago, I sent several branches to Singapore and the person out there reports that they are showing signs of leafing out already soooo I am confident they should take in their new homes in S Florida too.

Let it rain, who cares, we need it everywhere in Florida. Tony, I am building a shrine to you for the Mother raspberry plant. Are you not going to grow them any more?? I am so excited that I will be meeting up with all my old and new gardening buds at the swap. It is going to be so much fun!! I just hope we have the sense to finally go home and not decide to sit forever comiserating while Ricky & Karen are getting tired of all of us invading their home, which is lovely!! Ricky's BBQ is OUTSTANDING, so if this is a first time for you, be prepared to enjoy his masterpiece! And then there is all the accoutrements everyone else brings. Talk about PIG OUT!! I am on the road tomorrow at 2 to spend the evening on the east coast with a very special friend. (please don't tell Lady I burnt the brownies today and threw them out-I never burn food!!) I completely forgot they were in the oven and went out to get my plants together. Sprinkle seedlings and get everything ready to pack in the car.
