rainy season

We have been in a very bad drought for months. Now it appears our traditional rainy season may be starting. People have told me new daylilies don't like too much water. Not much I can do about the rain that is coming. It rained for about five minutes really well the day I finished planting my dls, and now it appears we may be starting to get our daily rains. Should I be worried since my dls are newly planted bare root daylilies? I Hope the dirt is the right kind. I mixed on kind of store bought soil with sand to make it more draining as the nursery told me and then another kind as well which was really expensive, with more pine bark. But it's really hard to tell when you have the right proportions. To tell you the truth the soil and dirt mixing in each hole was a pain in teh neck. Anyway, do you think it will be okay? Thanks.
