Finally, Wednesday's photos

Photobucket was being contrary this afternoon. Or maybe it was my old computer, but finally got my photos uploaded.

I'm having my usual problem of missing tags, made worse by my mulching heavily last fall. I just use the mini blinds for tags, & they are just eaten up by the mulch. Plus, for some reason I thought was intelligent last fall, I moved some of my seedling daylilies in with my named ones. Of course, those tags are gone too, so here I am scratching my head trying to figure out names. If you spot one you know is wrong, please let me know :)

Bus Stop I think-don't remember moving it last year, but this sure looks faded. But yesterday Jungle Ballet was very faded looking & much better today.

Sherry Lane Carr, I think this is really pretty for a very first bloom

Nice daylilies for a Wednesday or for any day!! I love them all. FANCY FACE does get my vote for favcorite here as it looks really, really nice. MISSISSIPPI MAN is gorgeous and so is PRELUDE TO PANOPOLY. Well, they are all extra nice.

Your Noid is very different yet engaging. The George Jets On clump is so pretty. You have several pretty pinks...How big is the bloom on Janet Benz? Shores of Time looks lovely en mass. That's as smooth a bloom on Red Friday as I've seen. George Jets On and Sea Dragon are my favorites today. kay

Scott, Very nice peppers! We still have a lot of peppers in the fridge from our last picking a couple of weeks ago. I also have a couple of sweet bell peppers, Red Savina peppers, and Black Pearl ornamental peppers in pots on the patio. I drag them inside the garage at night and outside during the day. I was just thinking the same thing a few minutes ago....just two months until planting begins again! Dawn

NANCY: You have some gorgeous blooms today, I love CHORAL FANTASY. mine hasn't bloomed yet, but I think its the one that was blooming in DECEMBER.MISSISSIPPI MAN is such a pretty thing.Love him.(or it):)

FANCY FACE is a favorite here in my garden too. I noticed that on cool mornings the colors are more vibrant. Nice pic of the multiple blooms.

MISSISSIPPI MAN is very pretty.

Rita, Fancy Face is one of my favorites I put where I can see it as soon as I go out my back door, it is really showing off for me this year.
Nancy, I've been anxious to see Sherry Lane Carr,I admired pictures of it so much last year. It is a little pale, but several daylilies in this area have been appearing more pastel their first bloom & deepen on next flowers. I don't know why it would be in just this little strip, must need some fertilizer.
Choral FAntasy tried hard to bloom here last fall, but the frost got to it first. Mississippi Man looks rather feminine to call it "he" :) Funny how some of my daylilies are he & some she, even when their names don't suggest one or the other.
Thanks Kay! It did seem to be a delicate day for them, they are really starting to move fast. I'm astounded at how many are blooming so early. I'm already seeing lots of daylilies that are listed as mid season bloom. But then, I've got a couple listed as early that I don't see a thing. I have a hard time believing they aren't going to bloom.
Julia, I have such a hard time not showing blooms every day on my favorites, Fancy Face would be several times a day!

ngrahm, my daylilies have gender as well! Maybe this is one of the signs of addiction!

Fancy Face is a good one. I'm finding I increasingly like the ones that have a color combination of orange (or tangerine or coral) and purple.

Choral Fantasy really got my attention as I have it on order. I really like it with the spiderwort as a companion.

Great photos my favorite is Fancy Face. I know what you mean about lost tags I have a lot of Noid's myself, I just put out new tags and start numbering them so I can kind of keep track of whats in the garden, I also keep photos of all my DL's in a album so I can use that to Identify any that lose their tags

My favorites this time are Fancy Face and Sherry Lane Carr, love the midrib on that one and the pleating? hope I'm using the right term. I have Strawberry Candy to but she has never looked that good. Marg

Oooh, I love that Sherry Lane Carr! She's just so, so pretty with the white midribs and the ruffling. They all look great.
BTW, those you sent me last summer are doing great, although of course it will be awhile before they bloom here. I am looking forward to seeing them and think of you every time I walk past them.

Celeste, you should see something of Little Audrey soon, it is always one of the first to bloom here.
Marg, I think it was just a day or 2 ago I was saying I don't have any with that pleated look, & apparently it does a bit, & I didn't even see it :)
Linda, you are right, I think I need to actually take pictures of groupings. And stop moving stuff around.

Thanks Avedon! I know Rita, I've already been eyeing plants that need to be moved. Would have already done it but these days I wait til fall :)

I know Sarah,strange name. Panoply-I misspelled it earlier-means impressive dress, or protective armor. So does that mean it is going to look really good tomorrow? Or is this how it looks before it puts on its armor? Where DO they get the names? Must have a different meaning somewhere.

Love! So many of them look just great. Chorale Fantasy and Funny Face are especially beautiful.
