I have a few pictures!

I'm getting a few blooms now, just a few though. It DIDN'T rain today so I was able to get some of the blooming weeds. This first picture has a garden name for my professor brother-in-law. As some of you know, that's what I do with some of my seedlings..Family names. This is one of the first I crossed several years ago when it wasn't important to know whether it was a dip or a tet. Golden Scroll was the pod parent but I lost hundreds of labels over the years and only remember a few of the firsts.. This is a second bloom on SE so it's much better! Enjoy!!!

Yes she is Rita but she is a hard one to keep in this area. Definitly prone to rot here. When she leaves this time, she won't be back I think. ...Ellie

Joey, One of the easiest ways to provide your photo to be embedded into a post is to upload it onto an image hosting site such as Photobucket, Flickr, etc. That should be pretty straight forward, and the individual sites will give instructions on how to get your photos uploaded to their site when you sign up. Once your picture has been uploaded, find its web address by right clicking on the image and copying the image location. Some sites may even provide your image's address in a text box below the photo for your convenience. Let's say, as an example, that the address of the picture you want to post is http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg To embed the picture into a post, use the command: img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg"> If your picture is too large to fit nicely into the text page, you can add a width attribute. The command with the width attribute would look something like: img src="http://somepicturesite.com/yourpicture.jpg" width=600> Note that I had to use special characters to get the commands above to show up here without turning into pictures, but you can use them as shown (with the correct image web address, of course). _____________________________________________ Foolishpleasure, I'm not sure if you are just kidding, but in case you aren't, Google it!

Shame you missed it! Yes, the flower stalk will dry up & you can pull off. Do don't have to wait for the whole stalk to dry, though. If you're watching it, the pod dries 1st. You can pull off the pod with seeds in it (taking care to catch them-or hold pod together w/fingers-till you can put seeds somewhere safe). Then, you can remove stalk if you like. Seeds are white & larger than salt crystals, but not a whole lot larger. Pix are coming. I just went out & took a variety of pix to show as examples. Need to process them. Back in a few. You're ahead of me in time (I see), so don't know if you're still around the forum. Any which way...pix will be here when you get back! :) In the meanwhile, in the 2nd of above pix, the straw-colored stringy things are what once were stalks...with the dried pod at the ends. Also shows dried pods at end of stalks that haven't dried yet. I usually just distribute seeds back into pot (no other plans for them!). You'll see pic of pods I just laid in pot. I have them growing in several spots. Many of my plants are in a rather sad state of affairs (so close your eyes-ha ha).

Hi xman, yep I'll have to move a few things soon. I think the little 'Baldsmith' in the bottom center will be the first thing to get moved early next Spring. Most of my stuff is planted too close for ultimate size, but I like combining color and texture and I'm tight on space, so sometimes I make my own rules. The A.s. 'Aureum' and A.p. 'Red Dragon' are staying put. I've had the 'Aureum' for about 7 years and if I'm able to raise it until maturity it'll grow up and over the 'Red Dragon'. I'm not adverse to pruning either. I think done correctly, it can improve the form of a tree while getting it to go where you want it too. The 'Red Dragon', I've been selectively pruning for about six years and it's starting to develop a beautiful winter silouette. At this point I would keep the 'repairs' as simple as possible. Often, using too many things to hide one (OK, more than one) error can end up making things even worse. First, do what you planned and paint the room the color of the grout. Once you get the wall painted the grout will be less noticeable. Hang the curtain and finish the bathroom. To hide the edge even more, you could hang two shower curtains and have tie-backs on each side. If the deep grout line on the edges still bother you after that, take a dremel tool and and cut it so that you have a straight edge to put wood trim up against........then install a piece of wood molding. Ellie, I love your seedling - I think it's the prettiest one! SBP is looking good, expecially for an FFO. Keep 'em coming -

I really like your seedling too Ellie...I remember it from last year. I think it gets prettier every season. SE is looking good...mine hasn't bloomed yet. SBP sure did give you a nice ffo.

Would you believe we've been 2 whole days now without any rain. It was actually dry enough this afternoon for me to cut the grass!!

That is a nice bicolor seedling! I think Spacecoast Behavior Pattern is my favorite of the registered ones.

Ah Kathy, it is such a good one and the color is so pretty too!! I didn't know what I was doing when I bred this one, it was a new experience for me..I was tickled pink that SBP bloomed at all, let alone, so pretty...Thanks!!

Jan, I wonder why SE hasn't bloomed for you yet! That's strange! We had a whole day of sunshine and we got the lawn mowed, and I was able to pull some weeds..Yea...

You know Ellie that Professor Paul has bloomed so beautifully for me since I got it from you! Not one bad bloom EVER! You know the pic doesn't show the real beauty of its color! It really is a stunning flower in person!
