Wild Lupines

Has anyone tried to propogate Wild Lupine (Lupinus perennis)? Apparently it is a native species of Lupine that grows where woods have been cut down, or on sandy banks in full sun. It is an important plant for the Karner Blue butterfly.

I was asking becuase the electric company clear cut a huge swath through my yard, and there is a couple of bare spots where I am worried about erosion. I'm also in a heavily wooded area, so I don't want to plant anything invasive that will hurt my violet/mayflower, etc. poputlation. I'm thinking of a couple of sandy hillsides I have.

I'm new to this site, and am very impressed with all of the knowledgeable members here. Any insight would be most appriciated. Thank you
