Love your crocus, daffs and hyacinths. I just always love the spring bulbs because by the time they come around I am so ready for flowers. Love that Owl sitting on your garden bench.

Thanks Rita. I agree. After a long winter I want to see some life in my garden ASAP and this year I find myself being really impatient.

I bought that owl at Walmart at the end of season last year for half off. Couldn't wait to put it out this year......

Those are really pretty, Jason. I love a certain continuity in your ornaments..The waddle pot (very well done, by the way) the frog, and the owl have a certain almost contentment or enjoyment of the season.

It's too hot for primrose here, but I love the beautiful blue and such a nice clump of it too. Welcome to spring.

Winter is always too long for me and we had a cold one with lots of snow this year. Don't know how folks even north of me stand it. Winter is too long here as it is. I was out puttering in my garden in early March so I know how it is wanting spring to hurray up and arrive. I guess if I had any garden art I would have put it out then.

Kay - I have 2 of those Waddle Pots, one for outside and one for inside which sits on top of the china cabinet. I don't have a lot of garden ornaments but what I do have I like to put out. I feel like it gives my garden a little personality and some whimsical charm

I love Primroses. I have so many clumps of them in every colour you can think of but this purple one is always the first to bloom.......

Rita - Our winter was long with lots of snow and quite cold this year. I was dying to get out to the garden to clean-up but didn't get out there to do it until the first week of April as we still had too much snow! So glad it's finally gone and now I'm looking forward to a few months of garden worthy weather!

I love primroses whenever I see them at the nurseries in bloom. I have tried them here but they never last, always die out on me. That one is a striking blue color. I usually see them in yellows and such.

Rita, I've been lucky. I have probably 15 to 20 primroses and I've only lost 2 thanks to winter. One of the 2 had been transplanted too late in the Fall and the other one was a cheapo from Walmart that was really small. The rest seem to get through winter just fine and come back every year. I have some that are the biggest clumps I've ever seen. They were already here when we moved to this house. Those ones are all red but boy do they ever put on a show in late spring/early summer! That purple/blue one is my favourite. I even divided it last year and it didn't miss a beat. Wouldn't you know it that the piece I took from it and transplanted is loaded with flowers right now as well. I also have yellow, pink, orange and white..........

I love that brilliant blue primrose. I've tried them too, & they might last a couple of years. Is your hydrangea new, or are you already getting blooms? Very pretty. I have both a pink & a blue hydrangea. I keep meaning to buy the stuff to add increase the colors. Mine actually do bloom the right color, but rather washed out, I'd like to have richer colors. Guess I need to do that this year if I expect it to happen next year.

Jason, all I know is I never had any luck with Primroses Beautiful as they are. You must have the magic touch.

Everytime I see pictures of bulbs I remind myself that I should get some bulbs for great spring color. Your pictures did just that. I love daffodils and hyacinth especially. I also like your owl and the 'Waddle Pot". Thanks for posting. Marg

Rita - I don't know about "magic touch".....I think maybe it's just luck?! HA!

Marg - Yes spring bulbs do give some colour to a garden in early spring when everything else is looking rather shabby. We have a free compost centre where I live. I go out there a lot and have found so many things there that people just discard. Last year someone threw out a bunch of hyacinth and tulip bulbs along with some grape hyacinth bulbs so I brought them home and planted them and that is where these hyacinths came from. The tulips also have buds. I will get some pictures of them when they bloom. It'll be a total surprise as to what colour they are but I won't complain as it doesn't get much better than free!

ngraham - Yes that hydrangea is new. I got it half off at Home Depot. It is HUGE and for 8 dollars it was a bargain. I had one the same at my last house and it came back faithfully every year and always had the bright pink blooms. I have two other hydrangeas already, an Annabelle and a Summer Lace.

I have true primrose envy! One year they had them at Home Depot I think. I had never see n them and it was love at forst sight. I bouhgt a lot of different ones. They lasted a very short while...that was at my old house too where almost anything I stuck in the ground grew without any ammendments. Not the case here.

I guess Jaso, you'll just have to post lots of pictures for all of us with primrose envy.

Kay, I will definitely get some pictures of my primroses when they are out in full bloom and post them here for all to see. I noticed today they are all budding up nicely so hopefully soon I'll be seeing some blooms!

I love primroses, too. There is something so old fashioned about them. And I think I need a Waddle Pot! Will have to keep a look-out for one. Thanks for sharing -
