Satufdays blooms....(lots of photos)

Some of these may be a bit chewed up by the slugs, but this was their last free meal on my dl's!!! :)

Most of these are FFO's.

VV has lots of room for improvement, but I remember how beautiful it was last year, so I'll forgive it this first bloom.

VE is looking terrific on it's debut.

Talladega is improving so hopefully it'll just keep getting better and better. After all, it's just been yanked up and moved a few hundred miles from home to a stange garden. It's probably a little scared and shy. LOL

MSA always has perfect blooms and it didn't let me down with it's FFO this year either.

MOO with it's first bloom and it's very new to my garden too. The bloom is huge, but the scape isn't as tall as it should be.

Another newbie in my garden, Flamingo Parade with a huge FFO bloom.

Haven't seen any slugs on FT...think maybe it's a bit too "hot" for their tastes!! :)

Pretty FFO on BA.

And one with a nice dark eye and edge, Big Ciy Eye.

Jan- Flaming Tongues may be too hot for the slugs tastes but I sure do love it. I also love VELVET EYES, I have that one myself and was always surprised at how striking the blooms are.

Oh, you would post these gorgeous blooms while I am trying desperately not to get any more until I get new raised beds!They are simply stunning! I think I'll have to get Flamingo Parade, Flaming Tongue and Talladega. Mabye I could start rooftop gardening!

Thanks everyone! I was excited to have so many blooms yesterday. Just a little upset that I only got to see them for a few minutes before it started raining. At least I can look at the pictures. Oliver just turned a year old in May. He is ROTTEN! I bought him at the flea market for $3. lol Wouldn't take a million for him now. Although DH thinks otherwise. Michelle

Juliet. Your dayliles are just beautiful.I love every one of them,and your gardens is gorgeous.Love that Hosta's and Astilbe..I have 4 hosta plants in big pots.Have no where I can plant them in shade,so I put them in pots and set them up under a Magnolia tree,and have to keep them sprayed to keep the deer from eating them up.last year they found them and only left me some stubs.I have Sum and Substance in a 24inch pot,as it gets huge. I injoyed your photos of the garden alot.Thanks for sharing it. Jean

Greetings is an awesome rose. It never stops flowering. The buds on it are absolutely unbelievable, there are so many. I only have 2 flowers open on it so far but will be sure to take pictures when more open. As far as I can see J&P offered Greetings for one year, which is when I got it and then it was gone. Replaced by GOOD N PLENTY, which I didn't feel I wanted. Royal Wedding is also a J&P rose, one of their versions of english style roses like their Golden Zest. LOUISE CLEMENTS is one of the John Clements intros from Heirloom Roses as is MEMORIES. Cool here too but it hasn't bothered the roses, going to be a great spring flush.

Beth, thanks for posting these pictures, as always. I see you got a Phyllis Diller also. Mine made it barely through our Easter freeze, but neither last year nor this year has it put out any new basal canes. It has just wanted to live off the one surviving cane. Has yours put out any new basals at all? It can be a nice rose. The color holds in the summer heat, but it would be nice if it got some new growth from the bottom. I do use epsom salts in the spring, but to no avail on this one.

Such a nice variety! Jan, I was especially interested to see your pictures of Talladega. I have had one bloom and it looked just like yours. I am hoping that as the weather gets hotter, we will see a bigger edge, but the edge on mine is white, like yours, not yellow as shown on the website and catalog. It is still a beautiful bloom.

My eye was really drawn to FLAMING TONGUES and BREED APART. They are all great but these two are real eye catchers for me. Must go and check them out.

Wow, you really have the blooms.Love that VIOLET VISION,and VELVET EYES,and TALLADEGA. oh can't forget FLAMING TONGUES.Its gorgeous, too....Keep tha photos comiing,I injoy them all.

Flamingo Parade for me, please.

Ida Lou was new last year and didn't bloom. Now I remember why I bought it!
