Your gardens are just beautiful! In the last picture, what is the plant that's 2nd from the left? There's a short one with pink flowers, and I'm wondering about the one to the right of it. Also, what is the one of the far right with the pink flowers?

Awww.. look at that cute baby! She looks like a pup, not 12! Alright, well maybe the grey on her muzzle gives it a way a wee bit, but only because I know what I am looking for! :o) Oh, yeah, the flowers! Lovely photos... I am REALLY diggin' Metaphysical Moment! I keep meaning to put more Lambertsons in my garden, but $$ only goes so far! Maybe now that my plants are getting big, I can start trading, won't that be fun!

So, where to start? I can see why these are among your favorites. Moonlight Sail gets better and better with every year you post photos. I didn't remember the self color being this pretty in the past. This one is definitely going on my very short list (assuming it's hardy here). Great photo of Sacred Ground. Boiled Shrimp, even without pinching, is my kind of color. It reminds me a little of Two Sues' color. And where did this Once Upon a Dream come from? Beautiful edge and color. Another must-have.

My patio gets a lot of use because in the summer its my main living room! I sit out there, cook out there and of course, sort my daylily shipments out there. Plus the view of the hill in back of the patio, where you can see the zinnias and roses now, is directly off my office window so I have something really nice to look out at when I am working at my computer. Debra, glad I could inspire you to plant Off Beat. Thanks for you compliments on my picture of Classic Edge. I did do a better job with my pictures this time around than with the ones I posted of what was blooming last time. A liitle practice goes a long way! Unfortunately, I don't think I will be practicing my daylily picture skills anytime soon as there isn't anything blooming to take pictures of!! Of my older daylilies that I had there before this springs daylily craze hit, Rocket City is my favorite.

Greetings is an awesome rose. It never stops flowering. The buds on it are absolutely unbelievable, there are so many. I only have 2 flowers open on it so far but will be sure to take pictures when more open. As far as I can see J&P offered Greetings for one year, which is when I got it and then it was gone. Replaced by GOOD N PLENTY, which I didn't feel I wanted. Royal Wedding is also a J&P rose, one of their versions of english style roses like their Golden Zest. LOUISE CLEMENTS is one of the John Clements intros from Heirloom Roses as is MEMORIES. Cool here too but it hasn't bothered the roses, going to be a great spring flush.

The plant on the left is one of my favorite shade plants, brunnera macrophylla "Jack Frost". It has beautiful spring flowers and great foliage the rest of the season.

Here's a photo of it in April:

and the leaves in June:

The plant on the far right with pink flowers is astilbe x arendisii "Gloria Purpurea". Here's more close up photo of it: (the hosta in front of it is "Pandora's Box", one of the smallest hostas I've seen)

Edward - we must have posted at the same time. I'm glad you like my photo of Mystical Rainbow! (It actually looked better before I downsized it.) Do I remember correctly that you have Mystical Rainbow? Does yours look the same color as mine? I'm disappointed that it isn't pinker - a lot of my pinks turn out peach - it must be my soil. I do really like the patterned eyezone.

Juliet - It's so funny because I got a catalog from Plants Delights Nursery in the mail today and they had both of those plants in there. I was pretty sure it was the same thing you had, but I'm glad your confirmed it.

and the comb. of hosta and fern and astilbe... oh if only ic ould do it... still trying in my yard.

Juliet. Your dayliles are just beautiful.I love every one of them,and your gardens is gorgeous.Love that Hosta's and Astilbe..I have 4 hosta plants in big pots.Have no where I can plant them in shade,so I put them in pots and set them up under a Magnolia tree,and have to keep them sprayed to keep the deer from eating them up.last year they found them and only left me some stubs.I have Sum and Substance in a 24inch pot,as it gets huge. I injoyed your photos of the garden alot.Thanks for sharing it.

How beautiful, Juliet - your garden is lovely. The brunnera is fantastic; it's been on my wish list for my shade garden for a couple years now. I have GOT to get some of it this year. Oh, and daylilies (LOL) - from your photos today, I think 'Raining Violets' is the loveliest. It's yet another entry on my wish list.

Laurel - Raining Violets is one of my favorite daylilies - you can't really tell from the photo, but it has beautiful diamond dusting in the sun.
