I love the old fashioned Wisteria in bloom. So pretty and it smells so nice. I had some here in my garden for years and finially had to dig it out but my neighbor has one and I enjoy those blooms each spring.

Those beds and the way you have them placed and all the setup are very pretty. Gret job.

Rita - the wisteria bed started off as the Chinese wisteria in an extension of the driveway bed, then a small bed was added at the other end of the lawn for the Japanese wisteria, and finally last year I connected to two when making a defined path in front of the main perennial bed. So it took 10 years to get to that point! But it was a huge improvement and ties everything together nicely. I'm a strong believer in the 'genius loci' (spirit of the place). The entire garden here has gone in step by step as things feel 'right'. When we put one thing in, it seems to call for another, and what that goes in, something else is needed - and so on.... I spend a lot of time just walking around the garden and looking at it, waiting for it to tell me what it wants to be :-)

You and I garden the same way woodyoak - "as things feel right". Really like the shape of the bed and of course the wisteria is beautiful.

You are so correct. I never had a vision at the very beginning for everything that is here now but as I placed and did each gardenbed I knew what and how the next one would be. So I built upon what was there before.

I look at my garden lots too. I just love to look at it. No matter I saw it last night, I will head out in the morning to see whats new out there.
