Ok, so it's raining again and I'm bored.......(pics)

Took these yesterday after the rain as usual lately! My dl's are really beginning to pop now but hey, it's hard to enjoy them looking out the windows!! I mean, geez, I know we just went through 2 years of major drought, but couldn't we have one day of nothing but sunshine once in a while? LOL

Well anyway, hope you enjoy my drenched blooms.

FFO on Wolf Eyes

FFO on WS, a newbie to my garden.

Always love to see this Munson blooming, ffo on it.

SFF looking much pinker than usual in my garden. Do you think maybe it's all the moisture it's had? :)

Sp. Cherries and Cream making their debut.

Now a few pinks for you.

Love this ones curls.

EE is also a newbie with it's ffo.

Ok enough for this thread, I'll go do another one now. Told ya'll I'm bored!! :)

WOW, With beauties like these to show us,please keep on being bored,so we have more and more to look at.You really have some beauties.Your Song of Praise is gorgeous, too, but mine is showing a little more Lavender-Pink.Both are beautiful and such a big bloom, too. So far today, NO rain yet, but its in the forecast.

I think this was a laugh a minute! I am still laughing! ***Mike*** The first thing I saw was a dog face when I looked at the pic. I never saw the duck eyes until later! I think it looks like a cross between a Siberian Husky and an Afghan Hound!!! LOL!!! Actually it reminds me of a rottweiler. I was thinking it was a dog decoy instead of a duck decoy!!! Joyce

I saw this post and felt compelled to speak..lol..type...I would stand in the door way of the kitchen/dining area and the living room...find a color that co-exists in both rooms and paint the cabinets in that color, you would need to scuff the faces on the fronts of the bases and doors, to give them whats called a tooth...just means to make the paint bond better... if you can find a common color between the rooms...it will have a more unified look...also if you were to go all white, they would blend in more with the baseboard trim and door trims, in both rooms...you can't go wrong either way...I would say if you are able to cordinate the cabinets to both rooms and lose the bi-fold doors, now I have a question? is that a dark trim around the top of the living room? I have a disorder maybe it's a matchy matchy thing? but I would match that to the base boards and door trim or vice versa...just my thoughts on your neat little nook...

I really do like how bright it made that area look. I like it with the floor (which we both just love). I'm concerned that wood will look too "woody" traditional with the floor and table. Also, I thought it might be a good backdrop for the granite and backsplash which I have all along been coveting as my potential stars. Again... I can tell DH is not convinced. Not objecting, but I feel like it's a big concession for him. He actually values the opinions I get from this forum.

Lol, well I'm sorry, Joe, but I can't feel too sorry for you! I'm sitting here waiting for my first bloom! I usually get something open by Memorial Day and there is NOTHING open out there. At least you've seen some blooms already. The weather has been wonky here too. Nothing severe like in other parts but not normal either. One day it's 80 and the next 5 it's 50. the roses aren't growing much at all. Our averages should be low 70s in the daytime and mid 60s at night. We've had frost warnings twice in the last week. NOT FAIR! Our frost date is May 15th for Pete's sake. I put my tomatoes and peppers in just last week ( I did wait until after the frost date) and then promptly had to cover them all or lose them. Arrrrgh! I'd move it. It's having to compete too much with the Jasmine and that's probably slowing down it's progress. Bonica is a repeater so it should have bloomed by now. Usually only once bloomers take more than a couple of years to have their first bloom. If you'd like to have them grow together, which would be pretty, you need to grow the seedling up bigger first and then replant it with the Jasmine.

Always love those pinks and rose colors. But what do you call the yellow on V Magistrate? I love the shape of the yellow on that purple, it seems different than anything I have seen.

It's nice to see a picture of Wolf Eyes, it was new for me last year and didn't bloom, hopefully one of the eight fans (four last year) will bloom for me this year. I like the ruffles on WS, and the rest are very lovely too!

Stunning colors! Seminole Wind still sticks out for me, but all of them are gorgeous.

I hear you about the rain, we had it almost all weekend and it's spotty today. The grass has to be mowed every 4/5 days. Everything sure looks lush, so I can't complain. I think it's going to start drying up now.

Jan, All pretty, but....Sp. Cherries and Cream made me do a double take...love that color combo!

Great photos, Jan. Do you have a new camera this year. Maybe I am seeing better this year, but your pictures seem so clear and detailed. Love the pinks, especially the color on EE, the last one.

Thanks folks...glad you're enjoying my blooms.

Pat...I believe the type eye on Venetian Magistrate is referred to as an appliqued eye. I maybe wrong, so if anyone else knows, jump in here and let us know. :)

Ann...nope same camera as last year. I guess the blooms are just better. :)

Cherries and Cream and Enchanting Esmerelda, what pretties!

Jan, did you get Paul's Seedling #82? Mine has really had beautiful blooms.

And it is raining here too, and I'm bored also.

Kay, I did get that seedling and mine has had some gorgeous blooms, but they haven't had the ruffling yours is showing. Hey, I want ruffles on mine too!!! :)

Very pretty! Love those pinks. If I had to pick just one for my wishlist that I don't have already it would be Seminole Wind. Why do I not have that one yet???
We like it when you're bored and post pictures but I hope you get some sunshine soon so you can enjoy that gorgeous garden.

It is much prettier than I expected, and the blooms are huge! He should introduce this one as a named lily. And from the looks of your pretties, I expect your 82 will get to ruffling pretty quickly.
