Natanya, Congratulations on the adoption!!!! Not a problem on the exchange. I would have loved to have gotten one of the Joan Sr.'s but you can't give away what you don't have. LOL!! Mid September is just fine for the exchange. I am in South Carolina so our weather will be fine for digging up the Naomi Ruth and planting the Prairie Blue Eyes. I don't know if you have seen my only other posting, but it is to request 3 different daylilies I am wanting to honor my grandchildren. One of the grandbabies is adopted and since I couldn't find a daylily named "Hailey" I decided to honor her by choosing "Chosen One". The other two I am seeking is Savannah Sunshine and Col. Garrett. I think it is wonderful that you are looking for a named daylily for your newest addition and also to honor your mother. I have to tell you that the reason I got Naomi Ruth was to honor my mother. Her name was Ruth. I have had them for years and moved all of them with me from Atlanta, Georgia to South Carolina when I moved 3 years ago. No way was I leaving them behind!!! Unfortunately my mother passed last October but every time I see blooms on this plant (and other unnamed varieties that she actually gave to me years ago) I can do nothing but SMILE at the memories of her. I have another daylily coming to me this fall named, RUTH WHITTEN. This one too will be in honor of my mother. Sorry this is so long!!!! I am just compassionate about children, family and flowers!! I believe the appearance of many of these will change as they become more established. Still I wanted Northern growers to see what they look like early on in my northern garden. We don't always get to see what these blooms look like early on in the season, but I have seen many change dramatically as the season progresses. Linda

Yes, yes, yes....I love more GOLLIWOG pictures! What's not to love? Not only is it unique & gorgeous but look at all those scapes and buds! Wish my Earlybird order would hurry up and come.....I still can't plant out my Golliwog. I'm worried that my order is going to come when DD is in labor, which is any day now. It's a BIG order so I guess they'll sit in buckets for awhile if that happens. All your daylilies look ravishing and so healthy and neatly mulched. Of course Golliwog is my favorite but there are so many others that could be second. Love those clump shots! W. Mom's Cinnamon Rolls and Bold Tiger lookalike are my next picks. I'm sure I will come back and look again & again for the pretty eyecandy. Celeste

Les and Judy,Thank you.The lavender rose behind Double Delight is Simply Marvelous.I dug it up from a rose bed in the back yard to throw it in the trash and replace it with a bagged one I had gotten.It only had one little cane on it,smaller then a match stick,but I didn't have the heart to ditch it as long as it had a little bit of life in it,so I potted it up and set the pot in the front yard between other roses.To my surprise it started growing and putting out new canes,and blooms.I sure didn't think it had a chance of surviving,but the little bush has took off growing like crazy and had about a dozen blooms on it last week.It has a wonderful fragrance, too.Who would have thought a little nearly dead bush would come back so strong,but,I loved this bush,and gave it alot of TLC and now its rewarding me.
