How it works is that in the order in which people sign up is the order in which they will receive the parcel. I will start it off with about 20-25 different and unusual seeds. Since Unusual seeds often come in less qty's than more common ones, I'd say that a min of 5 seeds per packet is fine. So in the parcel there will be 20-25 different kinds of seeds, each one having 5 seeds of each. Take as many packets as you are interested in and replace them with the same number of packets from your seed collection of unusual seeds, each of your packets containing a minimum of 5 seeds also. Then you mail it to the next person on the list. A copy of the list and the order in which it is to be mailed will be in the parcel along with labels to put over the label that was addressed to you. So you pay for the shipping to the next person, they pay to ship it to the next person and so on. It's really quite fun. There is also a Xtras pouch...if you have extra of a common seed, feel free to put it in there. Qty's vary on those. Feel free to take from the Xtras pouch making sure to leave some for others. The instruction sheet tells you how to packet up your seeds and how to label the packets so everyone's seeds are secure in each packet and labelled for sun/shade, how to propogate, etc. Let me know if you are interested and I'll add you as #6 on the list. I'm mailing it out on Feb 1st.

hey everyone. I've been hit with the flu bug. Am just starting to feel a tad better so I'm sorry but the pkg didn't go out. I'm hoping to have it out tomorrow even if it means my hubby will mail it. Sorry for the delay!

Just a note about mailing..
I just read on another Canadian seed exchange posting that a seed pkg. was returned because the postage has gone up..and the padded envelope was 3 cents short. The post office "returned to sender".
Just passing along the news :(

Sorry, I haven't been on much lately, I mailed out the package on the Thursday before thanksgiving. I had it 3 days and then mailed it out. Hope it didn't get messed up in the holiday mail lag....cin

Just wondering when I can expect to get the parcel....???

I just realized that I said Thanksgiving, it was supposed to be Easter, there were 6 or 7 names left from what I remember but I don't remember who I mailed it to. I do know that it cost me 14$ to mail out though. I argued with the mail guy because it only cost around 3$ to come to me. I know I didn't add any more that about 15 packets of seed. At that price it should have gone air mail......and they complain about the wage that they get....cin

Wow ! I cant believe it has taken this round robin 4 months so far and it is not home yet! Ouch! Not sure what this says about our postal system .
