Julie, the RR is for NAMED varieties only. Most of us are addicts and collectors of Named African Violets. The ones with no names can be found in the big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes. I have a few of the Optimara violets. Unfortunatly they don't put names on them. They grow and bloom great. But we don't share the NOID leaves. Post a message in the MESSAGE exchange and I'm sure someone will be generous and send you a few NAMED violet leaves. This will get you started on your addiction. LOL If you email me I will send you a few.

Sara, Much cooler-but I had forgotten just how humid it is out there. And green, it was a jungle! I always laugh when I hear folks here speak of the "humidity". Certainly it is alot more humid than Colorado, Arizon and the rest of the southwest. But it is actually much much drier here than the east coast. It was usually between 68-72 degrees F in the mornings during my trip, yet I was dripping with sweat from the humidity. Oh well, there are weather issues no matter where you are, just got to learn how to deal with it. My tomatos all died while I was gone, yet I was able to start a new crop of squash for the fall, certainly couldn't do that in the northeast. Oh,and I emphasize it was "usually" humid during my trip. The 1st day I was there it was 75, dry, with a slight breeze-of course that was on the coast while wading in the surf at Rye beach. Sigh...

I don't have much right now, in reality, I'm trying to get my luna hibiscus to throw out seeds... *grumbles* I've got some butterfly weed i'm trying to nurse back to health... I'm trying to dig up and repot all of my cacti, trying to move them elsewhere and until i have the money to fix up a new bed, they need to be pot bound for now... i dug up my flapjacks and lo'en behold, now i have like 20 plants of them when i originally only planted 1... lol.
