Hi Lindsey, The tree yucca of that size that we have does not have a taproot, but a root ball the size of a beach ball. I took out three of them because a Jacaranda that was nearby did not like them at all. The stumps were almost impossible to kill, so I do not think that moving one would be that much of a risk. In fact, in one location where I was able to excavate an entire root ball, I turned the ball upside down on top of the ground and it is still trying to sprout new growth after three years. I snap off the new shoots and rotate the ball every once in awhile to prevent it from rooting in the hopes that it will give up. I suspect that the hardest part of the transplant process will be actually trying to move it since its cells are full of water; an entire plant will be very heavy. If the trunk or a branch breaks off, let the wound heal over for a week or so, then dig a post hole deep enough to support its height, and plant. Terran

Depending on your aesthetic sense, you might consider some open shelving? I'm extremely visual and tend to forget anything I can't see right away (my partner claims I never quite conquered the 'object permanence' stage in child development, lol -- the one where they have mommy leave the room and see if the baby remembers if she still exists). It really helps me to have to most-used items like glassware, coffeemaking supplies, etc, out in the open where I can just see and grab them. Labels are also your friend. There are many types, from the paper label tape up to custom-made brass plaques with tiny nails you can affix to the drawer and cupboard door front. Or use file cabinet label holders, they come in a million pretty designs and finishes & would be a bit more flexible than engraved labels. I have a 18 year old cat who was diagnosed with senile dementia 3 yr.s ago. After multiple trips to the vet for what I was sure was a UTI as she stopped peeing in the litter box. She'll poop in it but that is it. And it must be scooped immediately upon the poopy drop. My solution was to get pee pads (the human kind-they are better) I buy them by the caseload and I'm sure Costco thinks I have a real issue for someone my age-Ha! I Fold in half and tuck the loose end under the litterbox so there is about 10 inches of doubled soft pad for her to do her business on. And I replace as soon as I see it's soiled. Usually 2x a day. Also, cat is on valium to quiet her nightime howling like she's a b***h in heat episodes. and if she gets really loud, well I can take one myself! I know it's getting to be time, but she's not in pain-just nuts. Of And i swtiched to the domed litterbox too, but I actually put it in the bathtub of an unused bathroom so if by chance there are any "oops" I can just clean & wash it out. MUCH better, works for crazy old kitty & works for me. It has stopped the accidents. For some reason she likes to pee on the pads. And for pet stains & odors get "natures miracle" This stuff works great, I even use it for laundry stains as it is an enzyme based cleaner. I buy a big jug and keep some in a spray bottle. It works great on just about any type of stain. The vet & I can't figure it out. Cats are odd creatures. ~Cat ;0)

Im not sure of the soil. It was a huge bag of regular soil for houseplants I believe. Nothing special! It sits in front of a big window that gets tons of sun all day. I live in Texas so sun is always in abundence! Ive tried putting it outside on my porch and it doesnt seem to like the heat. It turns faded and yellow quite quickly outside.
