You've gotten more snow than we have here. Last night we got another inch or so after all the rain washed away the previous snow fall. I don't think the entire season, so far, we've reached a total of 5 inches.

We are suppose to get a warm up on Monday too. Very odd season but it is not over yet. Spring is still 2 months away.

It has been an odd and mostly warm winter here. If it gets cold for a day or two, it has soon warmed up again. No complaints from me about that.

Anyway, my porch, walkway and driveway are all shoveled and my car is all cleaned off of all snow. I am not planning on going anywhere tomorrow anyway and I figgure soon after that the snow will all be gone. Can't complain.

NO Snow here but storms in the forecast for tomorrow and tomorrow night.daytime temps in the 50's and 60's, not too bad.

We've got snow here but not like we usually get in January. The worst part to me is not the snow itself but the temps lately. We have had some below zero weather in the past week or so and with the limited snow cover it isn't great for the plants. Last night it was once again well below zero. I hear it is to warm up tomorrow but right now as I type this it is still in the single digits. Glad to hear you are having an easier winter than normal, Rita. Hopefully you can have an early spring and can start posting your gorgeous pictures again!

I love spring too and watching for the flowers to start growing, but,I hate these storms. we just got tonights bad storms out of the way until wednesday when they say another round is coming. Didn't get any damage right here, but a few towns north got trees down and power out and homes destroyed and a lady trapped in her home and they finally got her out unharmed. Just some rain and a lot of wind here tonight.

Don't you hate it when you respond to a post and the garden gnomes eat your response? AS I posted, that is the perfect kind of snow, Rita. Beautiful and here today and gone a day or two later.

It feels entirely too much like spring...late spring,,and, of course, we are having a few tornadoes too. Tulips are up everywhere. It is mid to high sixties and it is bound to change and shock all of our systems, mine and the flowers.

I am green with envy of those of you who already have tulips and daffys up! I can't even imagine that. Up here, even in a 'mild' winter, the spring bulbs, plants and trees all know better than to wake up early. The weather changes so much in New Hampshire. We were having below zero temps the last few days but it is now supposed to warm up into the high 30's, low 40's, which is a heat-wave for January. My spring bulbs don't start making an apearance until April and some tulips won't bloom until May. Even though this winter has been easier than typical, anything can still happen as February and March can dump plenty of snow and sub-zero temps. The plants are smart to wait...LOL.

Celeste, your gardens are so pretty and the scenic views you show us of your area are just past awesome. I guess all that winter weather is the flip side of the coin for a summer paradise.

Jean, sorry about your having to put up with storms now. Were was all that rain when you needed it in the summer?

Kay, hope all tornadoes cease and pass. Hate that idea. Our Tulips here would never think of coming up in January, they know better.

The snow is still here, at least some of it. Maybe less than half. Supposed to have rained today but it's not raining. If it does, all the snow will be gone. Even if it doesn't rain, this snow is not long for staying on the ground. Too warm now for it to stick around. Fine by me!

I've been worrying and fretting about the dayliles since we haven't had any snow cover and some very cold and then very warm days. I think the dormants will be okay but I planted so many new ones last year I hope they make it. I walked around today and the semi and evergreens are still looking alive so I think things will be okay. Spring can't come soon enough that's for sure!

RITA, have no idea where all htis rain was back in the summer when wwe needed it, but now we getting more than whats needed.at least all the evergreens lilies are pretty and green and even the dormants are still green, most of them anyway.

Jean, I hope next summer is not as dry for you. Maybe that is what all this rain means, that it will not be dry.

The rain that they forcasted for yesterday finially did arrive here by very late afternoon and then into early evening. So the rain did wash away all the rest of the snow. Today it is just damp outside as the ground is just so very wet and has not yet had a chance to dry out some.

RITA, I hope its not as dry this spring, too as it was this past year, Its raining again right now, and suppose to rain all the way through thursday before a break in it.more storms are in the forecast for this week.I have a Doctors appointment for Thursday and I am not looking forward to going anywhere in the storms, might have to cancel this appointment.Dont need no doctor right now anyway..
