I guess I have posted too many picture this month so now they are being held hostage by photobucket. I don't have time now to fix the issue but I guess they will reappear at some point in time. Meanwhile I want to thank everyone for your congratulations and formyou compliments. As I held my grandaughter today, I was thinking of that day 29 years ago that I first held her mother. We also turned our small living room into a music room. I think formal living rooms are a waste of space. Over the years, I have had the piano either half-way open or closed w/ photos on top. Fully open seems too much for the size of the room. I have a big chair in one corner and a 5'? potted silk plant in another. Our room opens up to the foyer/stairs and the dining room. In our last house, the piano was in a great room and we had a round, skirted ottoman in the curve ( a designer recommended that). The top was kind of pleated w/ one button in the center. Good luck!

We were gifted a baby grand last year. Pianos are funny, more emotional investments than anything. After owning a few uprights and now this, I would say used is the way to go since they do not retain much value. Ours had been completely rebuilt; new soundboard, new felts, the works which can run about 10K on a baby grand. Big expenses don't come till years down the road if they are properly cared for. Go for it if you can, there is no better sound than a grand. Two of our kids play, our home is not large, but we thoroughly enjoy ours. If you do buy it, we moved ours in last December. Don't bother to tune till it's settled in your home for a while. Then tune it again in a year, and regularly thereafter.

That's kind of the weird thing. It was either 'from' or came in with only two hosta I had. However, it could have been a stray seed in the pot that didn't germinate until this year (maybe?), fell into the pot from another pod patent is or some throw back. The two smaller, lighter ones were under France's Williams. I am pretty sure she is their pod parent. The dark fleshy green one was near Patriot. I have really no idea if it wandered over from FW, is actually Patriot's or some unknown parentage. I am waiting until it gets a little older and its character comes out but I am thinking about it. I am going to plant all of them if they survive since I have so few and I will give them garden names. :)
