7 looks to be Senecio radicans or 'string of bananas' and 4 looks like a Hoya to me but I'm not familiar with Hoya at all! As far as 5, I haven't got a clue but it's beautiful! I'm interested to know what 5 is as well!

#5 is definitely an aloe and looks like Aloe vera to me.

1 and 5 look like Aloe vera. And 4 and 6 are Hoyas, that is all I can tell you.

The one that says it's a Hindu Rope, a type of Hoya when you hover over it is interesting. Love the curly leaves.

Erin, thanks for the great ID on the Senecio radicans, I'll get that labeled, kinda similar to the 'string of pearls' I guess you could say. I think they are cool too.

Erin and Nancy, on #5 this Aloe develops differently than the usual Aloe Vera, I love the way it stacks on top of each other and the really sharp spikes. It was really left in the dark and not watered at HD, and I rescued it just in time.

Nancy, would this be a kind of Aloe vera? there must be so many different kinds. Both of these are differnt from the Aloe vera that I already have. Even the 1st one has very thick fleshy leaves, slightly more than the common one and lighter in color and more white markings.

Really great ID's PUGLVR on the Hoya DS -70 and the Hoya compacta. You are really right on about the Hoya DS-70, the website you provided shows the exact plant. I was really happy it was blooming. Do you have many Hoyas?

Hi Miki, glad to help with the ID's. Yes, I do have quite a few Hoyas...I really like them! Your hoyas prefer bright (indirect) light. They can take an hour or so of early morning sun especially when grown inside the house, let them dry out "slighly" , then water them well. Fertilize at half strength during the growing season once a week or two.

The H. compacta has a nice Huge Pink blooms as well.

Wow, great information Puglvr. I did not know the H. compacta blooms. I have another Hoya, a wax plant growing around a trellis, she's only 2 yrs old and hasn't bloomed yet. I will look up the website, you do such a nice job embedding them, and the information is exact,

Hi Micki,

I don't think that there is more than one type of Aloe vera. The older they get, the wider and thicker their leaves get. In my experience, they lose their spots too. As youngsters, I've seen them grown singly, like you first pic, and grouped and growing "unwieldy" like your other photo. Let's see if others have an opinion on this. :)
