Wow, you made a killing! Nice plants. What fun. You can go to the Cactus and Succulent Plant Mall. Find the American Dealers and there are a lot of stores there where you can buy cactus/succulents/caudiciforms online. Guy Wrinkle is no on there any more but he has great stuff. I also buy things on ebay.

I just love that place. I too went and visited in person this past summer - went there just to "window shop" since I was in the area for other reasons, and ended up bringing home 5-6 beauties!
And, the people there are just wonderful too!

It would be financially disastrous for me to live near aridlands, me thinks ;-)...

Nice Score Jojo...Congrats! You got some really nice plants there, very nice selection! Love the Hoya kerrii. I have one of those...still waiting for blooms. By any chance did they carry any other hoyas besides Kerrii?

Toni brought it from the "holding" greenhouse, I guess I'm the first to see it, and of coars, "Sold"! lol.. It had to come home with me.
The Adenium are so cute and little! caudex is about 2-3", and healthy and beautiful!
So you like my nails? LOL! I'm not sure why my finger is in the pic. :) I do my own art work, and that is mellow! they get pretty wild. lol!

The Epithelantha polycephala~ can be kinda fickle/fragile in the winter, so hope I do O.K. with that one.

I'm having to be careful so as to not go broke. ;) I probably wont go back till after christmas.
They are very strong, healthy plants. They are grown in a huge greenhouse, so plenty of air, and sun. ;) it is covered in winter to protect from frost.
To shop there, you shop in a greenhouse, not a building or store, it's fun!

This is my first time having Albuca, so i'm anxious to see it bloom!
The little flower to the Ornithogalum tennifolium, is neat, it's green, and will open and close for a few days, today 3 are open.

These were actually bought over the summer, several trips, bringing a few home each time. ;)
My computer acted up all summer and eventually crashed, so I couldn't post as I got them. :) I just got it back a few weeks ago.

I read about the Kleinia stapeliiformis in the book you sent me. (many thanks again!) and really wanted it. :) Toni had it. LOL!

Great plants. You really went to town! I've never allowed myself to buy that many plants at once.

Love the Euphorbia, of course. I finally obtained a small cutting of 'White Ghost' which I hope roots for me. Even the little leaves on it are white. I have a different species of Monadenium, that might be M. schubei, which really grew this year. And I always love the Stapeliads, with the amazing flowers.

How very cool! I worked at Arid Lands for two years, beginning in 1991, in fact I was there when the greenhouses were expanded from one section to three... I learned a lot about building greenhouse structures while assisting. I'll never forget the time we just had got the plastic up for the winter months and a large hail storm moved through. Chuck, the owner at the time, nearly went ballistic. We spent the next week patching up the holes, but it wasn't nearly as bad as we had feared...

I understand that Chuck left for parts East a few years after I departed... I think that he began growing orchids and gave up succulents.

I remember each and everyone of the plants pictured above. Chuck's favorites were the Euphorbias and he'd get a bit annoyed with me when I dissed them. Of course, I'm the one that had to propogate them (both cuttings and seed), so I ended up with lots of scratches and cuts and once or twice with burning eyes and lungs when working on some of the more toxic species...

May favorites were the Dorstenias, Ceropegias and the various stapeliads. He also had a number of species of "fat" Convolvulacea from Africa... I still grow some of them to this day.
