You are most welcome for the warning, for that is my exact intent. It would have been so easy to trustingly take that letter and check at face value, cash it or follow their instructions. But by the time you found out it was a bad check, they could have cleaned out your accounts! I worry about older people getting scammed like this. In my line of work I second and third guess everything and everybody. Suspicion in a byword for my occupation. But millions of innocents still live in America, and there are not enough WatchDogs to protect them all. If any one of us finds something of this nature, we need to tell everyone about it, and get it investigated. My letter and check will be heading to the Postmaster of our town tomorrow afternoon. Hi Christy, Mike is right. He has taken a lot of crap here. Mainly from one jerk who has mysteriously dissapeard. Hmm....wonder why he isn't here anymore? LOL...GOT WHAT HE DESERVED!!! I am glad you found a great organic fertilizer. I have to say that Mike has never steered me wrong and his fertilizer regimen has done tremendous things for me. IF you go thru the posts on the forum, you will find a post that I did on my new 'Dancy' tangerine tree. Not to many people looked at it. I think because they checked it once and realized there was no picture, so they never went back to that post. I also wanted to show people how the FP, white vinegar, and some liquid iron spray saved a sick dying tree. Since you want to go the organic route, can I still suggest one thing? Use the capfull of white vinegar! I have seen such a HUGE change in the health of my plants. I started the white vinegar treatment before I even had the FP. Good luck with your citrus. Your in the right place with this group of fantastic dedicated growers. Mike, Rhizzo, Josh, Al and Pug have all been extremely helpfull (There have also been others that have helped but this group has gone above and beyond being just helpfull!) Just one word of advice. If you are not trying to by more citrus trees, stay away from Meyer Mike's pics!! Since coming here and meeting him, he has been solely responsible for my buying my 6ft Improved Meyer lemon, and my Oro Blanco grapefruit tree! LOl. Love ya Mike! Andrew

Congratulations Pat you must be so happy and so relieved. David - Happy Birthday to your Mom. Pam, I sympathize with you. The rain of yellow pollen hasn't hit here yet but our news reports say this year is going to be the worst year in a decade for allergies. We started out the day with dog school - Ollie finished advanced class a week ago and we started "Click a Trick". We don't really care about tricks but thought that just teaching him more would be good. He has learned to shake, spin around twice and finish by sitting, take a bow and the one useful trick is that we have succeeded in teaching him to chase a ball and bring it back to us - he had apparently never played in his first home. Then we went to the dog wash and left with a sweet smelling, fluffy dog. Max worked in his garden when we came home and will continue tomorrow. I don't have anything more exciting than some laundry and office work to look forward to. But I always look forward to the weekends and having Max at home. Clinking to you all with my club soda. Lee

Alabama, there wasn't much trunk to wrap for me, it was like a shrub, and it was further from where the deer usually usually come onto my land, it was so short I never thought they would bother it. I have 3, 8-10 ft oaks close to where the deer come over from the woods, that I would've thought they would've went for before this little Willow oak. Ed Lincoln I don't think this tree was targeted for any reason by the Cicadas, because they killed back many trees, my Durand oak was a 3 inch thick trunk with sprouts coming up from the bottom, the top was killed, so I just bought 2 more Durand oaks. They killed back about 3 ft of the top of a beadles oak. I am letting it releader. The Cicadas messed up my Pecan really bad, but it has bounced back. The first Willow oak that got killed was deer damaged last year, then Cicadas hit it, I don't think there's any one tree the cicadas like more. Any dogs I have Ed, will be snuggled in the house with the family, so no help there, but, Ed, the Cicadas I am talking about are the ones that come every 17 years, so any tree that replaces it, will be pretty large and have lottsa leaves by the next time they come back. However, I know why the deer are coming up further into my yard than before, my dads apple trees are bearing, and my Chestnut oak is dumping acorns. The Willow oak is pretty much in the lower yard still, but, they are likely wandering around when it's dark. I've put a tomato cage around my newly planted Beadles oak I just got, and have found that there are netlike garbage cans from the Dollar Tree that are good for protecting small seedlings until they are tall enough for the tree shelters I bought. I also am wondering of maybe a groundhog or bunny didn't do that to the short Willow oak. Anyone reading this a hunter? Or deer knowledgeable? Are they rubbing the velvet off yet? Are they going crazy and fighting with other bucks and trees even yet? I think it's too early to be going crazy to mate already. And it would be fighting with my bigger oaks anyways.
